Lion beat Buc's; but wish the Lions weren't so whoosi in the fourth quarter; on first down on that last drive; just one; and they would have been in feild goal range and sealed the finish on this game. They gave the Buc's two chances to score, man that is not long term winning approach. Looked like they were sitting back on their laurels and just protecting the ball trying to run the clock out; that has bitten them in the butt more than once and almost did again. Other than that; they played so much better than other years.; woot go Lions.

E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!
Good start to the season. My girlfriend is a Skins fan and we were at the Skins-Giants game yesterday. Good game. I love to see the G-men lose almost as much as I enjoyed seeing the Dallas Cowboys give their game away to the Jets. Nice going! Best possible outcome this weekend for this Birds fan.

Lions now 3-0 whoot. Will the worm turn; or we will turn the Cowboys into kitty food.
And it turns out to be "both", depending on the half, but scoring 31-3 in the second half overcomes scoring 3-27 in the first.
Lions 4-0, and Tony Romo gets the Lions' MVP award for two major touchdown passes.

Watched the Bills/Bengals game as they broadcast it here in Japan - which was around 2 am. My contractors are all from Buffalo, so they are huge fans. Luckily, we've all been working nights and would have been up anyway.
We watched it in the lobby of the hotel, and the hookers kept coming up to the window to try and get our.....attention. Sebastian would have loved it.

Steelers got back to playing like the Steelers.
Also Megatron is unstoppable. And how about the folding that Philly is currently doing? They very well may be in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. And how about the Niner's beatdown? (Gah I started Josh Freeman on my fantsy team!)
Max Starks looked so much better then I thought he would. I guess it would have been hard for the o-line to look worse, but still, pleasnt surprise.
Also, I'm a big fan of the Suck for Luck! campaign. It adds another layer of intrigue to the season. I'm currently routing for the Dolphins.
A funny snippet from a website that I frequent: "If the Colts get to 0-14, will Bill Polian rest his starters?"

I am completely convinced that Pitt needs to start letting some of the older guys go. I dont think its coincidence that the Run D looked way better without Aaron Smith, James Harrison, or Casey Hampton in. Sacreligous, I know. Aaron Smith has always been my favorite Steeler, but i think its time for the new blood to step up.

Can't say I disagree with you, though I don't know how much younger Hoke is than Hampton. Heyward looked pretty impressive, he was in the Titan's backfield as often as I've seen any of our D-lineman this year. Hood has been really solid.
Not sure how I feel about this yet. The Steelers have always been so good at getting rid of guys when they're about to get old, I'm having a hard time second guessing them now..

I believe, (and I very well may be wrong) that Hoke is actually a year older than Casey. But far far fresher and I would imagine in much better conditioning. I really cant imagine Big Snack has a lot in his gas tank. 8p. And about Heyward and Hood, I completely agree. They definitly opened my eyes up. At the very least they have earned more playing time in my eyes.
I wonder how much of knowing just when to get rid of people was Cowher and how much was Kevin Colbert?

I can't believ the Raiders let Carson Palmer play when he had only memorized 15 plays. Say what you want about Al Davis, I doubt he would have let this happen.

In hindsight, the Raiders should have let him play the whole game. I doubt he could have stunk it up as bad as Boller.

Probably true, but still I don't see how you can tell a guy all week that he has to suit up but won't play and they shove him in at the start of the third quarter and expect any kind of results.

I agree. Put him in at the beginning of the game or don't put him in at all.

Totally. After all, this is superstar quarterback Carson Palmer, he probably could have pulled something off if he had known he was going to play.

Just like he never did at Cincinatti? 8p
Go Steelers!
