I'm still kind of disappointed that I didn't grow up to be a Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtle. Someday, world. Someday.

Opening Sequence.

Which led me to Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds

Lets add the 90's into the mix shall we?

Scarab Sages

In that case:

Aladdin
Animaniacs
Batman: The Animated Series
Beast Wars
Bobby's World
The Critic
Dog City
Gargoyles
Life with Louie
ReBoot
Rocko's Modern Life
TaleSpin
Tiny Toon Adventures
X-Men the Animated Series

Yeah, I watched too much TV in my teens. I only listed things that were only on the air in the nineties.

To this day my friends and I randomly bust out "Fighting Crime in a Future Time...COPS!"

and invariably one of us starts listing the CROOKS..."Misdemeanour, Turbo Tu-Tone, Berserko, Doctor BadVibes...etc"

Sovereign Court

Oh and Centurions, I loved that show when it was on.

I can't believe only 1 person has mentioned the Smurfs by now. The Smurfs rocked!

Others I remember watching were:

He-Man
She-Ra
Inspector Gadget
Fraggle Rock
The Defenders of the Universe
The Snorks
Transformers
Voltron
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Gummi Bears
Astroboy
Duck Tales
Captain Caveman
Superted
Bananaman
Care Bears
Fat Albert

OMFG!!! Ask and ye shall receive. I went into a store this morning and was having a quick flip through the box sets and there it was... brand new on the shelf, just released. $80 is a bit steep (especially atm), but as soon as I have the cash I will be bagging it for sure.

Awesome!

Transformers!

And....whatever else I had to watch to fill the time before Transformers...I liked to get to the TV early....

Anyhow, gonna go watch some Transformers:Animated....old habits don't die hard, they just don't die at all!

I'm not a big Transformers:Animated fan. I did like Wierd Al as Wreck-Gar though. "I am Wreck-Gar. I dare to be stupid." That line still cracks me up.

Anybody remember this one

Well I do remember that one. What about this one

Spoiler:
There is nothing like a plane that has a pool and a terrace to scream more money than is good for you. I wonder if this was Paris Hilton's favorite cartoon.

I have to go with G-Force.

Isn't this from the 70's??

Only if we just stick to Battle of the Planets. I could not stand G-Force or Eagle Riders. To me they were both betrayals of my childhood.

Oh, man, I'm glad this thread already exists! I was about to make one. :)

Green Giant wrote:

Hey, you linked it, before I could! (By, like, five years). :)

EDIT: making the tag work

I'm surprised that no one mentioned Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs yet.

#1: GI Joe (original only)
#1B: Transformer (original only)
Battle of the Planets
Spiderman and his Amazing Friends (the first well drawn cartoon) The one with Iceman and Firestar
Spiderman
Justice League of Superheroes (Batman, Superman, Aquaman, etc)
Dungeons and Dragons
He-Man

That show where all the Hanna Barbara characters (like Captain Caveman) raced against each other.

The show with the dinosaurs that had different abilities (no, it wasn’t the dinobots).

I forgot about Blackstar (is that the one where he had the two parts of the sword), was awesome but short-lived.

The Exchange

Living in the UK we didn't have GI Joe, instead over here it was renamed Action Force and given a different opening sequence, which can be seen here.

I also loved:

Thundercats
Mysterious Cities of Gold (there is a new series of this coming!!)
M.A.S.K.
Visionaries
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (loved the early 2000's remake too)
She-Ra
Dungeons & Dragons
Transformers
Batman: The Animated Series (actually the entire DC Animated Universe thinking about it, especially JLU which ended it on such a high note)
Wacky Races

And while not strictly a cartoon, I've always loved:

The Trapdoor

David beat me to Ulysses 31 and GALAXY HIGH! GALAXY HIGH! GALAX-

*ahem*

But I am both amazed and dismayed that the Mysterious Cities of Gold were mentioned...and yet no love for Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea or Ovid or Dot and her miscellaneous proto-Druid adventures...

COPS was a fave, but my timing is off for that one as I saw it in Europe, rather than the US. I keep misremembering it at a 90's series.

There was also a Dragon's Lair cartoon in the 80s that I completely missed, which makes me a very sad gamer.

The mentions of two of the Super Dimension series pleases me, even in their mutated and merged forms. Super Dimension Fortress Macross and Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross were great, though if you can find it, do whatever it takes to see Super Dimension Century Orguss...if only for the ending credits.

I still love Mospeada to this day.

Go-Lion/Voltron Lions still rocks. Vehicle Voltron, too.

TekkaMan was made in '75 - I saw it in English in 86 on VHS. LOVED IT.

Robotech. If not for it, I would not be here today.

Thundercats
He-man
Jem and the Holograms
She-ra
G.I.Joe
Transformers
TMNT
Smurfs
Inspector Gadget
Snorks
Galaxy High
Kidd Video
Dungeons and Dragons

Rainbow Brite
M.A.S.K.
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Dinosaucers
Count Duckula
Ducktales
Gummi Bears
Heathcliff and the Cadilac Cats
Danger Mouse
Dragon's Lair
Pac Man

Movies
The Little Mermaid
The Black Cauldren
Heavy Metal
Rock and Rule
Transformers
G.I.Joe
The Last Unicorn
Flight of Dragons
Secret of N.I.M.H.
An American Tail(1 & 2)
Starchaser Legend of Orin
The Great Mouse Detective
The Land Before Time
Fire and Ice

I should have, at some point, mentioned Saturday Supercade, especially given my gamer nature and the memories of the Donkey Kong breakfast cereal...

Silver Crusade

Can't believe I missed this thread....

In no particular order (I watched a lot of cartoons back in the 80's and some of these hadn't been mentioned yet)...

Sectaurs

Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater

YES! A worthy successor to "Catch That Pigeon!" (a '70s fave.)

Dude! How did I forget Hong Kong Fooey?
Oh, '70s again. Rats.

Thundarr, Herculoids, Tarzan and the Super Seven, Mighty Orbots, Scooby Doo (pre - Scrappy), Rickety Rocket, Super Friends, Space Ghost, etc

Sigh.

Aww, no love for Rubik the Amazing Cube?

What about the Q-Bert cartoon, where he's like a surfer or something, and Ugh and Wrong-Way crash the malt shop?

I just spent $120 on this doll. Guess what my favorite 80s cartoon is. Guess.

(If you don't recognize the character, who was not the main one, the logo is off to the right. It's out of focus but you should be able to make it out.)

Other favorites:

G.I. Joe
COPS (heck yes)
Silverhawks (what I barely remember of it)

90s cartoons:
X-Men
Pirates of Dark Water
Some Peter Pan one I can't remember the name of but I know I liked it
Animaniacs

Thanks. :) Is that about the doll or my taste in cartoons in general?

Ranma 1/2 came out in the 80's in japan so it counts and also Urusei Yatsura.

I remember a Q*Bert cartoon but I don't remember much else about it. I also remember a Donkey Kong related cartoon in the 80's.
