Ya all forgot another pathfinder. sheesh! Which is a pretty cool one by the way.
I rather like Pathfinder as a name. Even if the name was "Poop in a bucket," that does not change what a decent product it is. At least the name invokes a good and perhaps adventurous image. If it is a great product it may even become synonymous with gaming. I mean, look at Kleenex. That's a pretty dumb sounding and looking name, yet most people refer to tissue paper as kleenex.
I suggest a nice big dose of "get over it."
What would you have it be, "darth_borehd's big adventure?"
Edit: I apologize for those last lines.I'm in a pissy mood.

Don Juans and Dagons?
Although it does conjure up images of a shamanistic peyote experience culminating in an hallucination of the demon prince of the dark depths.
Or worse, a dating show featuring the lords of Cthulhu as contestants.
Either way, we better stick with PFRPG for the time being.
P.S: but if "G" is still next, how about Grout & Gryphons?

Let's re-name Pathfinder: SEX
It might be truly awkward if I asked my gaming group on the phone to come over for "SEX" in earshot of my SO.
However, when people at work asked me what I did Monday I could proudly answer: "SEX!"
And:
Jailhouses and Jermlaines?
oops, scooped, so
Keeps & Kobolds?

Something more related generic fantasy. Keep the campaign setting and the adventure paths named Pathfinder but change the RPG rules to something not connecting to them. (Sort of like the relationship between "Eberron" and Dungeons & Dragons".)
I don't really have a better name though. Some of the ones I thought of are:
Fantasy Heroes
Swords & Spells
Fantastic Stories
Fantasy Heroes = Unlimited Heroes (Super Heroes RPG with the Palladium System)
Swords & Spells = Swords & Sorcery (D20 system commercialiced and distributed by White Wolf)Fantastic Stories = Amazing Stories (fantasy magazine)
i am not from US so the only reference for me about pathfinder would be the bad movie (which arrived with other name to my country and only 1 person of the group of 15 that i know arereviewing the book, did related) and the SUV... and no... i just related to it just when someone mentioned it here...
and Pathfinder or Pathfinder Chronicles has certain tone to it, with class... i myself like it, and until know have not heard of the need to change it...
also as someone mentioned... marketing is a b@%&~... you can exalt a product (pun intended) or you can send it to hell...
and considering the fan base is the one that keeps a product in the market, and that many arround have complained about other companies disregard for the fan base...
my vote is and will continue to be for Pathfinder

No pathfinders associations are much less relavent, but also not that great: ...
In the event it hasn't already been mentioned, Pathfinders are also a specially trained group of paratroopers within the US Army. Their job was to go in to enemy territory ahead of an invasion force and set up the drop zones. Go here for more wikimation.
Seems to me to be a highly positive association.

Ghouls and Guesthouses!
This thread reminds me of a post I once saw in the WotC boards where some guy was complaining that the miniatures cards were being printed "upside down", and as such it caused him great discomfort to have to flip the cards vertically instead of horizontally to be able to read them.
Now here's a real issue - why do we call dice "dice"?!? That name does not evoke any meaningful images for me. Let's call them "little numbery thingies"!!
I've got a set of 1 each of a lnt4, lnt6, lnt8...

Wonders & Oni (1-ders & 1-i)
... I know, I know.
How about 2mbs & 2ns?
3nches & 3flings?
[Runs for cover]
Seriously - a year ago the Pathfinder name was "enh" - now I'd never give it up.
Any chance you're a Quebecois, since you seem to pronounce your "3" as "tree"? yes, that sounds as horrible as it looks, and to see it written that way on official documents is worse.

These entries deserve their own list... in the off-off-might-be-a-topic forum ;) just kidding Majuba.
I still like Pathfinder... the logo/brand name just looks so good.
