What should one do if you have a walk-in join your game and they don't have a pathfinder number?
Is there a way for the Gamemaster to report the game and generate a number for them?
Thanks for your help.
John.
I would love to know this as well. We have a convention coming up in mid-September and I'd like to know how to make Pathfinder membership as easy as possible.

Having a convenient computer is not always possible for a convention.
As part of the future events registration section of the PFS website, we hope to have a function whereby you can declare how many temp cards you need and the website will spit out a PDF with those cards. You can hand them out to new players and, if they choose to do so, they can use the confirmation code to register themselves at paizo.com/pathfindersociety. Until then, just email me ahead of the event and let me know what you need.

How about you have a computer there with an internet connection and just have them sign up?
That's assuming that you have access to a computer and an internet connection, which isn't always possible.
There should be a way to get folks numbers without having a computer at the gameday/con. Even if it is a temp number that the Organizer can email to the person after the fact and then when they are able to Register at paizo, they can enter this temp number to get benefit of the modules they played previously.

Thanks for the quick response. I know you folks are probabl6y swamped after GenCon.
This is a great idea and I can't wait for it to be implemented.
I hope that you don't get overwhelmed by requests while waiting for the e-solution to be implented.

Are we still in the e-mail stage or is there something else we should be doing? I want to be able to invite people to play without forcing them to make on-line accounts or things along those lines.
Thanks!

In order for their play to count, they need to register on paizo.com anyway. So if you know the folks playing in your group ahead of time or are playing in a small venue (such as your home or game store) encourage them to sign up and get their own PFS number. It takes less than 5 minutes.
To be clear, I'm not handing out temp cards to anything less than a full-blown convention right now.

Browsing to the Paizo website using a web-enabled 3G mobile phone to sign up new players is another option. Even if you don't have a web-access plan on your phone, it doesn't hurt to ask around the table, another player might. I signed up two new players via mobile phone at a convention last weekend, it was quick and easy. Just another option to keep in mind, it might work for some.

What I intend to do, is to say to the players without PFS numbers that I will hold off reporting the event for a week, and if they can register and email me their character IDs in that time, I will report the game with those IDs, otherwise I will report without (and their character won't get credit).

I am about to run a PF Society module for my group. How do I report the results. I can not find it on the PF Society Homepage.
The online event reporting system is not up yet, but will be soon. Until that time, Josh has asked that we hold off on sending him the scenario results.
But, to let you know, you will need to have the following information available to report the scenarios when the system is live:
GM Name
GM PFS Number
Scenario
and for each player/character...
Character Name
Character PFS Number
Faction
Prestige Award

Charles email me and I can send you a tracking sheet to better keep track of your results. josh@paizo.com
Like the above poster said, though, we're not yet ready to launch our reporting system so this process will have to work for now.

I started playing a few weeks ago with a card my GM gave me. Its got a PFS number on it. I signed up separately to get a download of some PFS documents and so I have another pathfinder number I didn't know about.
How do I access the PFS number my card has on it that my GM has recorded to?
In other words, I have two PFS numbers. I only see one on my account, the one I haven't played to. How do I use the other one?
I seem to recall a dialog box where I could choose to confirm a pathfinder card with the confirmation code, but now I can't find it and have made two characters under the wrong PFS number in my blundering.

The easiest was to fix it is to contact your GM and let him correct your entry. He can delete the temp number and add your real one. Off course this assumes you have contact with the GM.
If you played at a CON and don't know who your GM was or how to contact him, then this is more of an issue.
For the future I plan to only give out temp cards in exchange with an e-mail address at CONs - just because of exactly these issues. It might also be worthwhile to ask the GM for his/her e-mail.
Might be too late to help now - but maybe helpful in the future.

Hey I have a related question I have a sneaking feeling or sinking some might say that one of my players that played once in one of the open events I ran won't register on this website...
And I seem to have trouble knowing if I have correctly entered my event I know I did do something wrong because I let a player play in an event that I shouldn't have but I did not know this at the time.
(They had played in the scenario before but made a new character and did not know about the update to the rules.)
Is anyway to know if you have enter an event correctly?
