Liberty's Edge

Not sure how I missed this one, but a friend thought I might enjoy it, so I gave it a try.

Might enjoy was quite the understatement!

So here we have a film that is unclassifiable. There is definitely a zombie survival horror theme. But this is backed with really wonderful cinamatography, and a stunning score. This film works on so many levels.

I had to throw this up here for anyone who may have not seen it yet.

One of the best films I have ever seen.

Dark Archive

I am not one for horror films, normally, but this film was brilliant. I highly recommend it too.

The sequel, 28 weeks later, is also good, better for horror/suspense, weaker for story, but it too is worth seeing.

And in production, 28 months later ...

Scarab Sages

I really can't do horror films, but as I was made to watch it in english class at one point, I feel Qualified to give my through-the-fingers-covering-my-face review.

It wasn't bad. They managed to set up a fairly believable scenery set, and the zombie chases were pretty well done. Mostly I tried to focus on the survivor's Psychology since that's sort of my forte. and since the english class dictated we had to compare it to I Am Legend (the book), there were some interesting parallels. the whole last part of the movie was one giant psych essay waiting to happen. Quite enjoyable.

So in conclusion, Not a bad movie if you like thrillers or psych analysis. Plus, Christopher Eccleston...yay!

You are so right! Really, the question asked were very provocative. What does it mean to be human. What is civilization. How much arte either of those things worth really? What are you willing to do for those you love? What about those you do not know?

The premise of course is fantastic, but I thought the characters were VERY 3 dimensional and real. One of those movies where you just want good things for them and are really hoping what seems to be very bleak turns out well.

I champion 28 Days Later! Me loves it!
