I am planning a side trip to Stonehenge during GenCon UK on Saturday 30 August sometime after 2pm and I am inviting anyone who wants to go. I can fit 4 others in my vehicle.

It is about an Hour Drive and Admission is £6.50 for adults and £3.30 for children.

Hours of operation of Stonhenge is 9am-7pm.

Because of my Gaming schedule I can not change the date I am planning the trip but I can work out the time as long as it is after 2pm.

Anyone interested?

Edit: Relying on good English weather for this side trip may not be the best idea I ever came up with ;-).

If you're making an afternoon of it then consider doing Avebury as well -- it's about the same distance from Reading, and about 45 mins from Stonehenge to Avebury.

Going to Stonehenge (and Bath) was one of the highlights when I lived in England. I strongly recommend to take this chance! :D

That is an excellent idea! I've always wanted to see Stonehenge too! I'm definitely interested, but my only concern is that Saturday afternoon was going to be my "Con-afternoon", going around to the dealers, just experiencing the con, since I'm gaming in the PFS all day Friday and Saturday morning. In particular, the Trade Hall is only open until 6 pm, which means Saturday might be the only day I can visit the Paizo booth!

So I guess what I'm saying is I'm interested, but I don't think I can commit until I get there and see the lay of the land.

Dragonmoon, if you do go to Stonehenge, you might enjoy Avebury as well, which isn't too far away.

I think the prob is that most of the people here going to GenCon are British, which means a) they've already been there, or b) they're kinda "meh" about it because it's always there.

Which version of Stonehenge will you play while you are there?
