I just caught my first episode of this new crime drama last night. It was great because it seemed more like what I experienced as a cop. It was less about solving mysteries and more about dealing with crime as it happens. Sure, as a hostage rescue team the characters on the show are a little more elite than the average beat cop, but I can relate to them better than to they guys on CSI, because I was also on an SRT. Plus it has Amy Jo Johnson, the original Pink Power Ranger, which is a total plus.
I am surprised that a show created in Canada is getting such great review and support in the US. I hope i does well.
Just finished watching the first season on blue ray. Damn that's a good show.
It invokes drama and emotions without feeling forced and fake. And I also understand things the way the justice system is set up after seeing the not-unrealistic* portrayals of what the people are feeling and the events that lead them to where they are.
Awesome awesome show. I hope it goes on for a long time. I haven't seen a show this good in a long time.
I highly recommend it.
*I know, I know, the dreaded double negative.
