Hey all,

In Seven Days, they talk about Apollyon being the Horseman of Famine amongst the Daemons. Have any of the other Horsemen been referred to by name? If so, what are they?

They'll be listed in the Campaign Setting Hardcover for sure. Not sure we've revealed the names yet... but the Horseman of Death is certainly Charon.

Thanks!

Next question ... I'm using cultist clerics of Apollyon in my game -- any idea what would be a favored weapon for him? Unofficially, of course.

The Bible: Revelation Chapter 9 wrote:
7The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8Their hair was like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. 9They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10They had tails and stings like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.

So how about something that mimics a scorpion tail? Such as a barbed whip?

The Hardcover actually reveals favored weapons for all four horsemen, if I remember correctly. I don't have that handy now, alas... but if I remember, I might pop in here tomorrow to let you know...

Apollyon's favored weapon is the scythe. He grants access to the domains of Air, Darkness, Destruction, and Evil.

Hmm...I have to say, it seems odd that Apollyon would be listed as one of the Four. If pathfinder is using the Book of Fiends, than Apollyon should be a Demon Prince instead of a daemon. In fact, if I recall correctly, Apollyon is the very first Demon Prince mentioned in the whole book.

Just saying...

We'll use monsters from the Book of Fiends now and then... but we can't really use the flavor from the book. Many of the demon lords, arch devils, and daemon lords in Book of Fiends are based on real-world-mythology.

As a result, all of the named fiends in Golarion are separate entities from those in the Book of Fiends. The names themselves are open content, but the rest is not. So in some cases we'll be taking these names (particularly those who have real-world resonance, like Dagon and Abraxus and several others) and building our own in-game mythology around them.

In any case, the first demon prince named in the Book of Fiends is Abaddon, not Apollyon... but in the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting, "Abaddon" is the name of an outer plane, so the example sort of still works...
