Man, this stinks. It's been a crappy last few weeks. Tim Russert dies. George Carlin dies. Stan Winston dies. A 21-year old coworker of my wife dies.
And even though he hasn't died, one of the components of the winning Paizo team has left the building. Is Mike still going to play in Erik's campaign? Wow, Jason, James and Wes got to be bummed. Certainly no more than I am.
You'll be missed Mike. Happy trails and stuff.

I'm lucky, I guess.
Although Mike's not working AT Paizo anymore, I still get to hang out with him, be it at parties or games or movie night or whatever. So while I'll certainly miss working with him, to me it's not like he actually WENT anywhere. He'll certainly sill be writing for Paizo, that's for sure!
He'll still be around on these boards now and then, I suspect, although not as often since now, patrolling and posting on them isn't part of the job. Which would be in and of itself kinda weird to me...
Anyway, the Ninja fans should rest assured that he hasn't gone away. He's just increased his stealth powers!

No, wait... that's Heathansson's power... nevermind.
That's my point, I don't need no help.
Now, go do your little smoke pellet thingy.buh-bye.

Indeed—as soon as he finished up the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting, he began in earnest on Pathfinder #14...

Hmm moving form one project to the next... grr.. someone is to blame and I'm going to blame the pirate fans on these forums! The pirate fans drove Mike away! :(

Awww, I hate to see you go, man~
It's been fun reading your stuff, Mike, you've done some awesome work. The Guide to Korvosa was a truly awesome piece of work. I'm glad you're not out of the game, just trying new things. I'm equally glad to hear that you'll still be contributing more Golarion stuff to Paizo. And I hope it's not too much to ask that you put in an appearance at next year's Paizocon? ;)
All the best to you, sir, and godspeed. Whatever you're doing now, I hope it goes well.

I will miss the nerf wars.
I bought this http://www.hasbro.com/nerf/default.cfm?page=viewproduct&product_id=1788 9 especially for him. Not *for* him per-say. More for me, with Mike as a handy target.
One thing I did not realize when I began is that he and Jason had a bit of an alliance. Between Jason and Mike, they have enough Nerf weapons to invade a small country. I held ground for... oh... 3 seconds before I fell, buried under a hail of small foam darts. It was a good day and I miss working with Mike, very much. He helped get me into this company and was one of the people who made me feel very welcome in Seattle when I moved here just over a year ago.
So, I join all here when I say may you meet friendly strangers, always have a full mug, and the wind forever at your back!
Hip Hip!

You bought something from ... Hasbro!!!! Traitor! Traitor, I say!!!
fixed that for you, btw
Between Jason and Mike, they have enough Nerf weapons to invade a small country.
So that's why Jason undertook nerf--I mean revising--3.5 s diligently. I get it now.

Well, we'll need him in somewhat decent shape for the Society :)

A part of me started to yell "Noooooooooooo!" But I stopped for 2 reasons:
A) My wife is asleep. I do not wish to incur her wrath.
B) Mike probably had a good reason for his decision and who am I to second guess him.
I will however miss his presence here.
I'm also dearly hoping we'll be seeing him and his character (or series of characters more likely) in Erik's new campaign which Jason claims he's going to write a journal for.

I tried to arrange for a 21 gun salute to see Mike off, but my budget only allowed me to get a sole party-popper. So...
*PAK*
Farewell and good luck, Mike!
I got one going but all of the gunners were mercenaries and died of heartattacks when I shouted "fire!"

Mike! Noes :( even whilst I was lurking I always looked forward to Mike's contributions to a thread, just seeing his avatar makes me smile...
So long as he comes back occasionally I guess it's all good, after all, who else here will stand for truth, justice and the Korvosan way against the barbaric Shoanti hordes? :P
All the best in whatever you are moving on to Mike!
