Goliath Druid Rhino Rider. Help.

The Exchange

I am creating an 11th level dude and my concept is a Goliath druid riding a rhino. I can use a maximum of 3 classes/PRC combo.
I would like to use a lance(for mounted charge damage) or a greatclub(with brambles). I can have 2 flaws to increase feats. What is a good idea for classes? I kinda like the idea of having a level in Beastmaster to increase the Rhino's abilities but that isn't required.
Goliath is LA +1, so I only have 10 more levels to work with and I don't wanna nerf the druid casting by more than a couple levels.
What would you do?
(This is me trying to see someone else's take on this idea.)

Goliath Druid 9/Beastmaster 1. Use Goliath Druid substitution levels from Races of Stone for Druid 1 (for Elemental Bond) and Druid 6 (for Earth Companion). The beastmaster level is to counteract the -3 effective level reduction to druid level when calculating the abilities/allowed types of an Earth Companion. Instead of just a rhino companion, you get a rhino (earth subtype) companion with +2 Str, -2 Dex, +3 Natural Armor, Burrow speed 10 ft, Earth Mastery (+1 attack/damage when both rhino and opponent are touching the ground, -4 attack/damage against air-/water-borne foes), and DR 5/magic.

Note that if you don't care too much about having an animal companion, a Goliath Druid (Druidic Avenger) 5/Stonespeaker Guardian 4/Warshaper 1 can be a pretty awesome combatant on their own. In this case, you only need to take the Goliath Druid 1 substitution level.

Hmmm. I like the first one. I may add the simple variant to that from the SRD to add monk speed and AC bonus+wis to armor and the other rangery stuff. I really want the rhino, and to have a burrowing, one with DR is pretty neat. Thanks!

Now I just need to work out the feats and weapon choices.....
Large charging Greatclub sounds nice.....

I take it you'd rather ride your rhino into battle than Wildshape and fight? I'd still recommend Companion Spellbond (PH2) and Co-ordinated Strike (RotW). Also have a look at the Wild Shape feats, Elephant's Hide obviates the need for an Amulet of Natural Armour to an extent.

If you trade the armor/shield proficiencies and wild shape for the monk's AC bonus and Fast Movement and the ranger's Favored Enemy, Swift Tracker, and Track feat, you might want to consider taking the Favored Environment variant of Favored Enemy (Hills, Mountains, and Underground being the most appropriate environments).

Speaking of goliaths, I started thinking about a goliath totem barbarian, but wasn't satisfied with the UA variants. So, I designed a different totem to suit a mountain tribe background. Feel free to use it if it suits your campaign.

Ram Totem Class Features

A barbarian dedicated to the ram totem does not gain the standard Uncanny Dodge, Trap Sense, and Improved Uncanny Dodge barbarian class features, but instead gains the following abilities:

- At 2nd level, a ram totem barbarian gains a +2 damage bonus on a successful charge attack

- At 3rd level, a ram totem barbarian gains Mountain Warrior* as a bonus feat, even if he doesn't meet the normal requirements

- At 5th level, a ram totem barbaian gains Steady Mountaineer* as a bonus feat, even if he doesn't meet the normal requirements

*- These two feats are detailed in Races of Stone

Yeah, I'd rather ride into battle on the back of a rhino. Druids(IMO) are super powerful and I don't mind nerfing the PC a bit to make him easier to run. I took the Simple Variant for druid from the SRD which removes wild shape and armor use and replaces it with Monk speed and armor bonuses and a ranger's track, and favored enemy abilties.

Goliath has a 60' speed, a +6 AC just from his monk bonus with wisdom and is generally a good combatant on paper. I also saved 17K on not having to get +2 Beastskin Studded Leather Armor that I could sink into other items.
I don't have to worry about a bunch of alternate forms along with an animal companion and a spell list. So he is much easier looking to run.

I don't have Races of the Wild, What is Co-ordinated Strike? I still have an extra feat so that may fit well....

From Races of the Wild:

Coordinated Strike

You and your animal companion or special mount can coordinate your melee attacks to gain an advantage in combat.

Prerequisites: Handle Animal 5 ranks, Animal Companion class feature or Special Mount class feature

Benefit: During any round in which your animal companion or special mount makes a melee attack, you gain a +1 competence bonus on your attack rolls against the same target.
