Okay, about a year or so ago I decided to make a PC or two for the RPGA and play in a couple of local games to build up a small portfolio of PCs for tourney play. See, I've never been to a Con and I had planed on trying to fit a couple big ones in my summer and winter schedule in the upcoming years. But I sure as hell didn't want to play with a 1st level PC at a Con!
So, about 9 months before WotC pissed on everyone I started playing in a couple local RPGA campaigns. I've got a 7th level PC and a couple 2nd levelers.
Have you guys had the time yet to consider allowing former RPGA PCs some kind of standardized Pathfinder conversions for our own organized play? I can see the obvious problem -- without a legion of locally certified DMs to do standardized conversions you'd have to have a staff individually do them at the Cons. That sounds like a nightmare at best or a logistical (not to mention cost) impossibility at worst.
Nonetheless, have you guys considered it?

We haven't really considered it, honestly. We want to start fresh with a new system. If you are attached to one or more of your Living campaign characters, I suggest starting a new PFS character who adopts the same personality quirks and level progression as your old character. It'll take a while to catch up, of course, but it will be a fraction of the overall time you spend playing the new (old) character.

This is a great idea. I'm also a huge fan of the brother of, long lost cousin of, alternate universe version of approach as well. This can be fun and allows you to put some new twists on your favorite old character.
