Any Crusades on Golarion ?

Religion war is an old favorite of mine. Conflict born on religious intolerance spawning battles of self-righteous sides, but in a world where all the gods acknowledge each other it´s bit hard to happen. The Iron Kingdoms have it right with the Morrow-menoth conflict, but Golarion have his own Protectorate of Menoth ? A theocracy who see herself as the only true faith ready to make war to save the heathens of others religions ?
I haven´t read the Gazeteer yet, but i am anxious to know.

Three major crusades come to mind:

The Dawncult's sweep through the southern continent.

The Oath Wars which involved a three-way conflict that ended with the banning of all god worship within Rahadoum.

Mendev, though that's less about religious disagreements and more about putting out a fire before it consumes the world. It has however spawned numerous atrocities commited in Iomedae's name but certainly not with her approval. The situation could get worse in Mendev if those extremist elements break off and start acting against mainstream Iomedae worshippers. It would be an additional conflict they don't need when they're supposed to be facing down the demonic flood from the Worldwound.

If Razmiran wasn't crippling itself through the abuse of its own people in the name of their false god, it would almost certainly be a larger threat to its neighbors than it already is.

Cheliax? Possibly only a matter of time before the Hellknights answer a mass call to arms in the name of Asmodeus and the Empire.

The fun lies on a good religion vs a good religion where there are true heroes on both sides.

That's a bit harder to pin down. The Dawncult's crusade probably resulted in some conflicts like that.

While Aroden wasn't good, there were certainly lawful good champions of his name and empire. Their expansion into surrounding lands could easily have resulted in conflict with other good folk, but it seems like it would be more political than religious in nature, from what I've seen at least.

Like, in Greyhawk, Pholtus vs. St. Cuthbert. Though both have neutral tones.

Mendev is awesome, I'm really really itching to get an AP set there.

If you want to flesh out the Mendev Crusades with religious conflict, the corruption of righteous warriors, etc., a good place to start is researching the historical Livonian Crusade.

There was also a crusade (The Shining Crusade, perhaps?) against the Whispering Tyrant which resulted in the founding of Lastwall.

It also resulted in Iomedae seeking (and gaining) divinity through the test of the Starstone after the Whispering Tyrant killed Aroden's original demigod(dess) herald.
