Planet Superstar?

Planet Stories®

Erik,

Any chance we might see something akin to RPG Superstar to find the next great pulp author?

It sure would be fun to read through the entries. :)

While that WOULD be fun, at the moment we're just not in a position to try and discover new authors with the line. We aren't even publishing original fiction yet (though that's looking likely to change in the not-so-distant future thanks to some exciting developments that I'm totally not allowed to talk about...). Planet Stories is growing all the time, though, so never say never!

That is great to hear!

Liberty's Edge RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32, 2011 Top 16

That would be a cool planet to be from!

Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Ack no, no Planet Superstar.

Y'all showed me how outclassed I am in the gaming ideas department, please don't show me how bad my fiction writing skills stack up :P

Liberty's Edge

This would be awesome.

Its my dream to someday write a sword & planet tale for publication, but the genre is dead. Totally killed by ten thousand page high fantasy epics where nothing happens until late in book 4 (when the author is finally done introducing characters). It would be the greatest thing ever if Planet Stories revived enough interest in the genre to produce original works from new authors.
