Yes, Happy birthday Flash! As for going flat-out, I think I am winding down a bit, hopefully able to coast in to Saturnalia without problems. Just need some stocking stuffers. Those of you in my PbPs I will be on holiday come Dec. 19th, but no fears! Due to my logistical problems I will not be travelling, so I can spend even more time coming up with devious plots for you :)

I am taking my lap top, but as I am half way up a mountain in Wales I doubt very much if it will have an internet connection.
OOOOO, you climbing Mt Snowdon? I wanna go! /whine

We are based 25 miles south in Barmouth, lovely view over the sea, no mobile phone reception, dodgy TV reception. Peace and quite, the only way to pick up my answer phone messages is to go to the pub, no wonder this is the 4th time we have gone.

Thanks for the wishes everyone. =D
I will be away after Christmas, but I'm good to go until then.
I go on the 27th (so you might as well say the 25th) and won't be back until the 8th or 9th. I am going camping too, so no internets for me. :( I won't even be able to take my laptop as it's real camping.

Sounds a bit like where I live - twelve miles from the nearest human settlement, in a deep valley between two mountains, which are in between two lakes. No phone reception, no public sewer or drinking water, and a s@$&ty sat-internet connection.

It's gonna be fun with a 10 month old and a 2 year 10 month old too!
You Crazy Fool!
I'm going with the outlaws, I mean In Laws, so that should be fun. At least I have all the comforts of home and some extras like geothermal heating.
Only today and tomorrow left at work before I break up, yippee!

Ugh. Camping. Did enough of that in the military. All set thank you. I prefer a country B&B and walking tours of nature's wonders. I don't feel the need to try and sleep outside in them.
Ahhh, but I get to take the Jet Ski out on the Lake whenever I want, so it has it's advantages. =)

True. Not enough incentive for me to shake ticks and spiders out of my sleeping roll or sleep on lumpy rocks and shower in a pond, but hey, diffrent strokes for diffrent folks, right?

Well it's not like we're literally out in the open under the stars...
We sleep in a tent on an air mattress. We have a portable shower, but it's just boiled lake water, so we usually only shower once, maybe twice a week. We are swimming in the lake every day though, so it's not like we're gonna be dirty. Also, there is a block of Chemical Toilets close by that's emptied once a week.Ticks usually aren't a problem. There are always spiders and the occasional snake, but they're not that bad. Goannas are the worst thing about where we camp. They aren't scared of people anymore, so they'll just wander through your camp in search of food.

I have a question for you guys. I was just gonna post a new Thread, but I figure I've already got a superb knowledge base right here...
It is about Caster Levels.
I have a Beta Character that I made for a Crucible of Chaos Pen & Paper game I was supposed to play in that fell through.
I have a question about what his Caster Level would be.
Here are his Classes:
1st Barbarian
2nd Sorcerer
3rd Sorcerer
4th Sorcerer
5th Sorcerer
6th Dragon Disciple
7th Dragon Disciple
8th Dragon Disciple
Is he a 7th Level Caster, or a 6th Level Caster? I think 7th, because even though he doesn't receive +1CL at 7th Level (2nd Level Dragon Disciple) it is still counted towards his ultimate Caster Level right? So in essence the only level he loses a CL from is Barbarian at 1st Level.
Incidently, I really like this Character and was very happy with the way he turned out. I was quite dissappointed when I didn't get the chance to road test him. I think I might enter him here as another Alias so you guys can have a look at him and see what you think. I am always open to critiquing of my characters.
Note though, I don't make my characters to be uber (as you might have already noticed if you've looked through my other PbP characters), I make them to have fun and have a story behind them.
EDIT: His Draconic Bloodline is Red. I wanted to try making an Umbra Dragon Bloodline, but it wasn't met with much liking, so I went with Red, as he is a CN Shoanti, so I figured that Red fit the best.

Sorry to disagree Flash, but I would interpret it as you are a 6th level Caster.
The "Spells per Day" description states:
Spells per Day: At the indicated levels, a dragon disciple gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in an arcane spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, except for an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a dragon disciple, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.
So you only improve as a spell caster at the levels that have that Class Feature listed.

Hmmm ... you could be onto something there, and come to think of it, you're likely correct. Although spells / day isn't necessarily the same as caster level ...

If any of you guys are glutton for punishment, there are a couple of spots open in two PbPs I am playing in.
See this Thread for info. One is River into Darkness and it is 3.5 (we are already 1/4 way through).
The other is a Startup Second Darkness AP using Beta Rules. Incidently I will be playing this Dragon Disciple character in this PbP. It will be fun to see how he develops in play and not just on paper.

Guys, I’m going to be on holidays from the 20th of December through to the 11th of January. I should have internet access during most of that period, although my posting schedule may be a bit different. However, my internet access will be very limited from the 27th through to the 2nd.
