It' a competition from Atomic Array, a Podcast Show done by Rone Barton (The Jade) & Ed Healy. This contest was from Volume 8 (the current is 10).

It's a good show and worth a listen.

By the way guys, I finally got around to putting up the next part of Chrysalis. Hope you like it.
Part III will leave the creature sleeping and concentrate on the crew for some character development. You gotta get to know and love the people before I start to kill 'em off right! ;)

Once again and feedback would be appreciated (rather than clog this thread you can e-mail me personally if youl like: flash_cxxi@hotmail.com

Pat, I also made some alterations to Part I using your suggestions.
Cheers

Flash, is your name Flash One to One, or has it another meaning that I am missing?

Yep, that's correct.

Flash has been my nickname for almost 10 years now and when I went to get an e-mail address flash at hotamil dot com was obviously already taken.
flash21 and flash121 were already taken as well (them being my favourite numbers) so I went flashcxxi (flash121). I thought that looked silly, so I added the underscore to seperate it and it became flash_cxxi@hotmail.com . I used to still use Flash as a uername for most things, but I found that sometimes it was taken and so it slowly changed over the years until now I just use flash_cxxi as a user/log on name for everything.

Moth:
Monday night (December 1st). 10.55pm on SBS. Severed is on.

Looks interesting and the foresty stuff could be relevent once we get out of the city. I'm gonna watch it (or at least tape it if I don't get a chance to watch it).

Also, Quarantine has started at the movies. Might also be worth checking out for insight into our current predicament as the others have so wonderfully pointed out.

EDIT: errr... I hope I didn't just give Kruel some more ideas. =(

Any of you guys entering RPG Superstar this year?

How are you going with your items?

I decided to simple it down a bit from my entry last year. I tried too much and it came out all "wtf is this for exactly" from the fluff I had to cut to make the word count.

I might. I've got an idea or two for an item, and a few vague thoughts on villains...

I'm resolutely (well, at this stage anyway) avoiding thinking too much about it too soon. Cos I know if I think too much about it I'm going to start coming up with "ideas" which are actually half remembered items that people mentioned last time around.

I wish I could, but I am so shaky with the rules I'd probably get the math wrong.

Nah, dude it's not that hard.

Go for something simple and you shouldn't have a problem.

I watched the start... looked a bit B-Gradey. I taped it though and plan to watch it, so we'll see.

I can quite honestly say that that was an hour and a half of my life I will never get back!

Moth enjoyed the running comentary on the chat at least (I was watching it while I was chatting).

Whoa. Just finished layout on the first of three projects. Sorry about that absence. I did time with Adobe Pagemaker and switched to InDesign and it really sucked up a lot of time.

Back at it ASAP.

Ugh. Still have nightmares about Pagemaker and I haven't worked with it since '99. Best of luck my friend.

99 for me too. Now Indesign is great. It took me about a day after opening it up before I realized what a f#!+up Pagemaker was.

So, over the past couple of months I’ve lost two players in my Age of Darkness pbp game. I’m looking for one or two replacement players, the catch being that I’m hoping someone will take on either one of the former PCs that are tagging along with the group, or one of the other NPC cast, rather than create an entirely new character. Either way, there would be some scope to customize the character.

Anyone interested?

I might be. I always get nervous taking on new games, but I seem to be able to juggle pretty well. Isn't that the one with the big Catholic-church analog that oppresses magical stuff? I remember reading some of it back in the day.

Yah, Adobe makes a hell of a picture program ... Desktop publishing ...ehh not so much.

Mothman, what's the level on Age of Darkness?

I only get to play as a player on pbp, so I would gladly take one of the places if you can stomach some more of me.

I'm not the biggest Image fan (mainly because of Liefeld), so I haven't read it, but I do remember a good one by Mignola and Arcudi (the BPRD guys). Can't remember the name, though.

That's the one.

Rad, they're at level 3 I believe.

Whoever's most interested can take the spot. I could probably evenopen it up to two slots if there was a lot of interest.

The two former PCs are Kajetan and Nicolai, and both are (in their original versions) male human sorcerers. If someone wanted to reinvent them a little, they could probably become a wizard or some other type of arcanist without too much trouble; the other characters don't necessarily know what classes these guys are, but they have seen some of what they can do.

OK, I am up to speed and have to say it is awesome, but it's going to be agony waiting for this to continue at only one comic (with two on the odd occasion) per week!!!

Don't know the backstory about this Liefield, just picked up the first issue at my local Newbury Comics store and I was hooked.

Moth: Let someone else take the AoD spot. I'm pretty swamped with the four (!!) PbP games I am running and the other couple I am playing in. Looks like you have some good interest in it.

Mothman, I'm interested. I'll read the IC to get up to speed. Have hearings Tuesday and Wednesday, so it might take some time.

Deadpool?

I have got as far as page 13, they have just camped for the first night, I like you DMing style a lot and am very interested in taking either of the characters (who I don't think are in the story yet unless I am being really thick).

Right on!

Deadpool Rocks Hard!!! He is so close to #1 it's not funny, but he just can't make that extra step.

100pts for that one Shiny... there will be no points however for picking my favourite comic character (I may have even mentioned it here before) as it is a bit of a no brainer.

I forgive Deadpool for Liefeld- Wade Wilson may look (and have a similar name to) Deathstrike, but the latter's personality is 180 degrees away from the Merc with the Mouth.

My top 5 superheroes/comic characters:

5 - Pandora (Pandora Peroxide)
4 - Abe Sapien (Hellboy / BPRD)
3 - Deadpool (X-Men / Cable and Deadpool)
2 - Hellboy (Hellboy)
1 - CONAN! (Tales of Conan)

Yeah, between Rad and Kruel being flat out there has been a real stall in my favourite PbPs (except for yours).

I was thinking 10 PbPs might be too much, but at the moment it's not enough!!! :)

P.S. That's not a dig or a criticism guys... I know only too well the dangers of real life! Come back to us rested and refreshed when you finish what you are working on. =D
