Yesterday for the first time, I received advertising for a Pathfinder product from someone other than Paizo. Amazon sent me an email ad for Pathfinder Chronicles: Classic Monsters Revisited. The only ads I've ever received from them previously have been for work-related texts or WOTC products. I've never bought a Pathfinder product through Amazon (always get mine direct from Paizo). I figure either Joshua Frost has gone ninja and infiltrated Amazon for free marketing or Pathfinder products have reached a level of market penetration that Amazon thinks it worthwhile to hawk it to purchasers of role-playing products in general.
Anyway, just thought that was interesting.

It was probably triggered by Amazon's "People Who Bought X Also Bought Y" technology.

Yeah. I think the actual link they mentioned was Jesse Decker -> James Jacobs. Still, never had a publisher other that WOTC make it through before.

If Mr. Frost had infiltrated Amazon, then he would hardly be likely to admit it in public, would he?
Obviously ninja masters (such as Mike) have to admit that they are ninja masters, so that they can do business- people need to know where they can go and who to speak to to get something done.
But Mike is hardly going to give away the identities of his agents except as disinformation in the same way that Paizo have very good reasons for not revealing that that secret meeting (despite any false information which they may put out in the next seven days) was actually about pizzas.

Did I say "Overlord?" I meant "Protector."
(If you were never one of the cool kids, head over to this video to see what Mike's referring to.)
