I have to leave for work in an hour, and given my schedule today, it will be highly unlikely I'll find a moment to take a break and look at Alpha 2. Man, it's going to be a loooooong day.

The countdown will go on unless this was late late last night he posted this
And this...
So close now to having release 2 of the Alpha done. It should go up tomorrow barring any unforeseen disasters (for those of you who love to refresh and check every 10 minutes, I would recommend waiting until the mid to late afternoon before starting your vigil).
So we got a bit to go.
COMPLETELY Unofficial timer set at: 07:00:00 and counting. [3:30 PDT]

I can't decide which to follow more closely: possible Alpha 2 release or the Pennsylvania primary.
Tell me about it.
Do I keep my eye on the great debate about changing the system or having the experience necessary to work within the system? The continuing, months-long process that will decide the economic fate of small business, and shape the world for years to come?
Or do I keep my eye on the presidential primary?

I have to admit, I'm currently leaning slightly toward Pathfinder, though there are many more updates and articles to read about the PA primary so that helps fill in the gaps ;p

Pathfinder. I don't care which way the primary goes. I'm a Republican. we've already got our nominee. ;)

LOL.
I'm with you. I spent months engrossed in politics, rooting for my nominee (who lost), and anticipating being able to participate in the primaries (Ohio) but of late the debate about the GSL, the anticipation for Alpha 2, and participating in playetesting and PbPs has almost completely put political concerns on the backburner. :)

I'm expecting it about 5 minutes before I have to go to work. Just like when AR1 came out. It was a horrible night knowing I could be at home reading delicious Paizo goodness.
Dude, take one for the team and leave for work now!

I'm hoping it comes while I'm still at work so I can print it. 157 pages is a big burden for my little inkjet at home.

Are we gonna get emails telling us it is ready if we 'ordered' Alpha 1 before?
Or will there be an announcement on the boards?
I'm just worried about their poor email server if they do send out announcements. That and their poor file server that'll be hosting the PDF itself...

Yeah, I was hoping for Thompson, or, if not him, Romney, but I can vote for McCain without holding my nose TOO tightly. Still, it's kinda cool to be able to focus on something pleasant and geeky while I wait for November to come around. (Though I must confess that watching Barack and Hillary eviscerate each other is at least mildly amusing talk radio fodder while I'm at work) Current popular opinion also seems to be favoring an ideology I don't subscribe to, which makes having something fun to think about especially essential; obsessing over politics too much is an excellent way to put oneself in an early grave. And besides, all I can do to influence politics is vote. I can do considerably more with the Pathfinder playtest.

Aargh! You're cruel.
Is that a real soon or a "go to sleep it'll be up sometime tomorrow" soon? I'm asking because it's 1:30 am over here and if I don't go to sleep now I might as well brew some coffee and stay awake.
