Convert Races and Class now or wait?

Races & Classes

Can I ask for a quick show of hands, who is converting classes across as they appear and who is waiting for them ALL to appear and then convert them?

My group consists of 7 characters, they are currently 1 Fighter, 1 Cleric, 1 Rogue, 1 Sorcerer, 1 Ranger, 1 Barbarian and 1 Druid (now dead, replacement to be decided on).

I am in 2 minds as if I should either convert the classes across as they appear, or if I should wait until the last of them is done. The first lets me give feed back immediately, the second lets lets me keep all the characters to a similar power level (as useful all day as opposed to the 15 minute adventuring day). My quandary is the sorcerer, I don't want the sorcerer to fall behind the Cleric in power terms, it is fairly obvious that the sorcerer is going to get the same Orision/Cantrip powers that the wizard and Cleric get. Do I just repeat that power for them? What about familiar?

Same goes for the fighter verses the Ranger and Barbarian.

I'm useing the classes we have with the PHB classes and just converting em as they come out.are group is 2 fighters, a palidin, a monk,a ranger.

We have a bard, a paladin, and a beguiler on top of the rogue and rogue/cleric. We're converting as they come out (and seeing how "backwards compatible" the system is when using the beguiler).

Just stumbled across this as I was browsing, forum loves to hide posts:-)

Similar issue with our group - we're eagerly waiting for the paladin, sorcerer and psychic warrior. Ah - last one's not going to happen any time soon.

We're updating them all tonight - in preparation for tomorrows game.

I'd suggest updating slowly, with each new release. It puts the feedback in bite sized chunks and lets you participate sooner. Use group vote to find a compromise for the classes not yet covered in the alpha.

RE: Sorcerer, we were thinking the same 0-level spell boost as the other casters, plus diplomacy/intimidate/deceive added to class skills and a free bloodline feat from the Dragon Compendium. Share what choices you make if you update any of the classes early - I'm sure I'm not alone in being curious as to my fellow gamers' thoughts.

Peace,

A quick vote of my group was humorous, the players playing the classes who are already available, don't think we should convert across until they are all out. Why? Because they don't want to outshine the rest of the standard classes as they see the new classes as more powerful.

The players who's classes are not out, think we should convert across as soon as a class is released.

Looks like we will be converting across.

Ive I will be carrying across this and just adding some features to classes that havent gotten updated yet. My group is a paladin, wizard and a fighter. The paladin is using my paladin proposal and the other two are useing the released classes. Also I am testing out the combined leadership system proposed in another thread.

Its a small group and its not hard to fix creatures on the fly add alittle here or there.
