I see a lot of Journey and Dungeon modules, but from what I can tell Carnival of Tears is the ONLY event module! Carnival is the best module that's come out because it's so unique and a different taste than all the other adventures.
And there's so much you can do with the Events line, major battles, a race, adventurer competitions and that's just off the top of my head. Please please more Event modules!

The way I look at J1 (Entombed with the Pharoah), it could be an "event" (the reappearance of the pyramid) module. Since the "journey", per se, has only one or two encounters, it might have fit even better as an E- module than a J- module.
come to think of it, any module with a well-defined hook could be an "event" adventure.
Which suggests that the classification system is somewhat arbitrary.

Journey modules are more about exotic destinations than exotic trips. Event modules are a bit less linear and exploratory from what we've seen with Carnival of Tears.
