Orelan |
"Hah! Good blow Magatha! Come Artemis, Spider -- with dear Magatha as inspiration let us put paid to these foes!"
Despite his wayward aim with rapier and dagger, Orelan is getting more and more cheerful as the fight goes on.
Question: Should I move up to try and catch the leader and his two guards in a Burning Hands, or should I save it for later?
Artemis Grayson |
Arttemis becomes frustrated by his failed attempts to hit the Goblin and renews his effort to kill it, (1d20+1=12) especially after that blow he took.
Attack the Goblin at G1 (yet again). Hopefully 12 hits, although I'm doubtful. Damage. (1d6+1=6)

Spider lashes out and hits the goblin in the arm wounding it badly but not quite killing it. Orelan's attempt fails to connect this time missing the wounded goblin as the creature grabs its arm in pain. Brenon stays behind his friends in support. Magatha smashes the goblin in the head killing it instantly. G5 had moved up to d5 so your still at e6. Gob2 tries to return the favor and attacks Spider but its hurt arm causes it to miss completly. Artemis tries once again to hit gob1 as gob1 attacks Artemis but both fail to connect each other. The leader launches one of his javelin's at Magatha but misses wide of the target. Gob6 and Gob7 stay where they are to protect their leader.....
Go ahead and roll for round 4!
Artemis Grayson |
Getting frustrated at his lack of success with the goblin in front of him, he tries a quick jab aimed at the goblin's face. (1d20+1=20)
Finally, that should be a hit. You watch I'll roll a 1 for damage now... Damage! (1d6+1=5) Woo Hoo, not bad =)
Artemis Grayson |
I was just looking back over the past posts and relized I forgot to let you know what your goodies were. I will post tomorrow with the list of items after I find the little tiny piece of paper I wrote them on.....
OOOOOOO Goodies! I pick Bill =)

Combat Round 4
Spider strikes out at the goblin again hitting and killing the nasty creature with his blow. Orelan seeing the goblin die turns and fires his bow at the one of the goblins protecting the leader. He hits NPC Orelan attack (1d20+1=15) NPC Orelan attack (1d6=1) wounding the goblin who staggers back into the wall from the blow. Brenon stays in support. Magatha walks up and attacks the goblin in front of her but missing completely. Artemis makes his attack and finally connects and kills the goblin with his quarterstaff. The goblin attacked by Magatha ducks out of the way of her blow and tries to make his own but misses her. The Goblin leader seeing most of his crew dead or about to be dead flees out the door hoping his goblins give him enough time to get away.......
End of combat round 4
Only goblin 7 is still alive at this point.
State your actions and choose your goodies!
Magatha Aegisdotir |
With a cackle Magatha lunges through the door after the goblin leader. If she can get within arm's reach of him, she attempts to initiate a grapple to keep him back. "Where do ya thing ye're going boy? I ain't done playing with you!"
Touch Attack: 1d20+4=23
Grapple Check: 1d20+4=13
Magatha would like to choose the bracers as her goody
Artemis Grayson |
Artemis, happy with his success, rushes forward (to C2) to attack the last Goblin. (1d20+1=8) Unfortunately, his over enthusism causes him to miss.
Damn, I knew I shoulda just bagsed the Bracers instead of trying to be funny. (heh heh) I'll grab the Dagger.
Orelan |
Thanks for NPCing me, Zoom - and sorry for the absence. I had a long weekend in Sydney and didn't manage to get to an internet cafe.
Orelan flashes his blade towards the last remaining foe, feinting high before trying for a lunge at the goblin's belly.
Rapier attack on goblin 7: (1d20+1=20, 1d6+1=6). Threat confirmation roll: (1d20+1=5)
"You should have run with your master, curr!"
Orelan's first choice will be the ring (until we find out it's horribly cursed); alternatively I think he's the one most likely to use the arrows?
Zoomackulas Eichendar |
Orelan drops his bow and runs up and attacks with his rapier killing the last of the goblin's in the room. Magatha follows the leader out of the room into the pitch darkness of another room. Somehow she tackles the goblin knocking the wind from it but it is still trying to fight its way free. Artemis swing misses the goblin as it slumps to the floor from Orelan's sword.
Carnesîr "Gray Spider" Súrion |
With a cackle Magatha lunges through the door after the goblin leader. “Where do ya thing ye're going boy? I ain't done playing with you!"
Spider is hot on Magatha trail as she goes after the goblin leader.
”don’t go killing em’. He might prove useful with information about these tunnels” he calls out not knowning what Magatha intent is. When he sees her grappling the liitle bugger he joins in to subdue the goblin
[goblin]”do not fight or continue in trying to escape and you may yet live another day! If not, we’ll have no choice but to kill you outright!”[/goblin] he barks out in the creatures own tongue
Spider’s Grappple check=12
Spider will accept whatever the group wishes to give him, hopefully one of the rolls of cloth with tools will be useful.

Due to the lack of interest in this game, and truth be told on my end too I am going to close this game down! I think I am going to stick to Pathfinder products to run here in pbp land. That being said I just picked up two adventures I would like to run pbp, Flight of the Red Raven and River Into Darkness! I wanted to give everyone here a chance to join in the game first before I look elsewhere. Both are 4th level wilderness adventures that take place in Golarion. If interested post here and you can keep the same character for this game(adjusted to 4th level) or create a new one, your choice! Let me know!
Cheers

Yeah I had misgivings after noone had posted in 2 weeks. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
I would be interested in playing in one of those games if you will have me Zoo.
I will probably keep Artemis and advance him, as it will give me a chance to try out his concept at a higher level (which was one of my goals in this game). Plus one can never be playing enough D&D! =)

Sorry to hear that Zoo; I was having fun. I'd like to keep playing Orelan and 4th level sounds pretty good. Let me know when the new thread starts up...
