Everyone's a frickin' critic

Liberty's Edge

Seriously, when you guys get through with these eight monster entries, go review some products in the product section!!!

The Exchange

Shouldn't that be freakin'? Maybe not?

Ehem sorry to be critical....

But the contest gives people a chance to express their views and criticisms. Every now and then you are bound to get someone who forgets how hard this contest is.

Plus each entry comes with three sets of comments and criticisms.

The positivity does appear to be less so far this round, maybe the friendlier people are getting tired.

Cheers

I think our friendly neighborhood werewolf is saying that with so many closet critics on our boards, why not go put those good critiquing skills to use and add one, two, or fifty products reviews the various products for sale at paizo.com?

Easy. I write most things from scratch, which means I don't use any of the gamemastery modules etc. I subscribe to Pathfinder, but I really just go "Hey, cool, 3 new monsters and some pictures I can use." I will probably never actually run them, I just mine them for ideas.

Plus reviewing Pathfinder seems silly, given that it's a monthly thing, not a product like, say, Tome of Horrors. Which I still need to get. But I haven't even finished reading Champions of Ruin yet.

/me needs more spare time.

Paizo allows you to review anything they sell, not just pathfinder books.

Speaking as a d20 publisher, I'd certainly like to see more 3rd-party d20 products reviewed.

"various products"

We'd love to see everything on paizo.com reviewed. :-)

I'm working on some of the lesser known systems now.

I have GOT to find those microphones and Cameras people got hidden in my office. :)

I have a few of your products in mind to review as well as your Metamorphsis Trilogy. By the way I could have reached through the monitor and strangled you for leaving off book two with a cliffhanger, I cursed your name for a good half hour after I finished it. :)

well..i apologize if i seem overly critical. i did say i would be hard on the math and presentation. no one has to pander to my vote, but everyone knows how to get it if they want it.

and i feel i have been consistent. i also said some pretty nice things about boomer's entry, which i genuinely find exciting.

i am sure i'll be hard on some mother entries, and have high praise, once i get to review them. the druid thing looks pretty strong to me right now, but i haven't finished reading it, nor checked its math.

the druid thing so far gets the 'most like my intended entry' award, which some people on this site can vouch for.

don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. you've all come a very long way, so be proud of that. just take the criticism for what it is: the things people would be saying if they paid for your product and then read it at home.

I've heard of freaking, frickin, friggin, freakin.. and of course, the mighty f-bomb itself... But this has to do with product reviews.

I was tempted to try the contest, but yea, I didn't have enough drive.. I hate creating magic items from scratch.

The pressure is/or was on.

Actually, I'm NOT a critic.

*sad face*

Still, I love reading reviews! Everybody go write some!

Very cool. Sorry about the cliffhanger, but you gotta admit, if it makes you want to read book three, then I've done my job. =]
