Round 4 - Parallel monsters

Grand Lodge Dedicated Voter Season 6, Star Voter Season 7, Dedicated Voter Season 8

I haven't done any work on a villain, for a couple of reasons that I can sum up as "Too hard".

I could work up a group of monsters though.

My only concern is that the contest may reach a stage where it's better to focus on the contestants' ideas without such distractions. Maybe it would be better to lay off at Round 5?

I'd say it's better for the wannabes to wait until the actual round is closed, like in round 2.

I did some work on villain, though the villain I had in mind hasn't made an appearance in D&D I would have to figure out the stat block from scratch and haven't had time for that...while if I keep the character in reasonably low level (CR 9 was in mind), he would have been rather straightforward monk/assassin.

I'd say go ahead and put it up, there are only 8 entries which will make for quick reading. Also paizo seems to be pushing the community aspect of the contest so it seems natural for all folks to participate.

I would post in a single thread though so the place doesn't get too cluttered up. I will probably put one up myself if there is an appropriate thread.

Totally.

Give us something cool to read while I wait a couple weeks for the contestants' entries.

I'd very much like to see other community members ideas, but I'd prefer that they be posted after the 'big eight.'

Yeah, it's gonna be weeks, but I worry about reading something from a community member and then seeing the same basic concept from one of the final eight and thinking, 'Been there. Done that.' It could end up being particularly unfair if some voters are 'bored' by an entry because they've already read a similar non-participants version on that theme.

Plenty of country entries already, some villains, loads of magic items...there is plenty of cool already here.
