Chris Nichols, Dwayne Monroe, Jason Nelson and Mirza Jasarevic -- we don't yet have countries from you.

If you go to the RPG Superstar main page and it says "Click here to submit your entry for this round of RPG Superstar!" at the top of the page, we don't have your country. If it says "Thanks for entering RPG Superstar—good luck!", then we do have it.

Jason Nelson, your entry is in -- thanks!

RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32 , Star Voter Season 7

That leaves us with exactly 32 countries, right? Including alternates?

Hasn't the deadline passed already?

I imagine, given the clarification given above for how contestants would know if their entry submitted successfully, that there may be a question of how the technical submission works (i.e. contestants may have thought they submitted and not realized it didn't 'send'), rather than a cut-and-dry issue of whether contestants can stick to firm deadlines. Personally, I think it's reasonable that would fall under the category of "judges' discretion."

it is also possible that it was submitted on time, but Gary did not post for several minutes.

And 32,000 words to read. Quite possibly another good reason to limit our submissions to 1,000 words. This will be a looong week! ;)

Depends upon the quality of the entries...

This is the case. Chris submitted it mere seconds before the deadline.

Here is the update from the main page:

Viktor Svindland, a Top 32 contestant, elected to drop out of the competition, and two original Top 32 contestants were disqualified, allowing Daniele Nanni, Michael Kogan and Robert Nichols to advance from alternate to the Top 32.

Dwayne Monroe (Cloak of Rian's Mercy) did not submit a country, and neither did Mirza Jasarevic, the next alternate in line, so Russell Taylor has advanced to the Top 32. Hobert Lanham is now the sole remaining alternate.

Wow. That was a somewhat stressful hour waiting to find out if I had squeaked in or not. My thanks to the judges for giving me a second chance at competing.

Any chance of finding out what the two were disqualified for? Word count, etc?

Just curious ...

I believe they mentioned in another thread that it was "word count"...

Yup, word count. Otherwise, my Kraken Crown would have been a top 32. Oh, well. :-(

Legendary Games, Necromancer Games

Sorry SD. I really liked that crown. In fact, it was a unanimous top 16.
