Moik Marathon Voter Season 8 |
Alot of online polls encounter issues with one person voting through multiple accounts or IPs, or individuals who are not usually members being enticed to come in and vote as a favour for someone. There are even groups who make it their purpose to ruin open processes.*
Are any contingency plans in place for if/when Mordenkainen's Thighmaster takes a lion's share of the votes?
* Without invoking specific groups, an example of this would be Hank the Angry Dwarf winning People Magazine's online poll for "Most Beautiful Person"

If we find that someone has cheated by placing more than one vote, those votes will be nullified.
Fortunately, this isn't a totally open contest, so the only way that Stephen Colbert can win (for example) is if he actually enters an item good enough to be selected by the judges in the first place.

Excuse me while I go send something to ColbertNation. Everyone knows that Mr. Colbert is a huge D&D nerd. He might want to actually get in on the contest (As opposed to vandalizing Wikipedia, getting bridges named after himself, or running for president in one state.)

Well, with a writer's strike, he needs something to do. (Aside from his presidential campaign_
