If you haven't seen a trailer, this movie is a musical featuring all Beatles songs. I'm not a particular fan of either of these things, but this movie is incredible! It's got humor sprinkled throughout, believable romance, well-placed tragedy and strongly judgmental war scenes. It does get trippy at certain parts, but thankfully not often enough to interfere with anything. The music was phenominal; most of the movie renditions are better than the originals.

I saw the trailer as well, but all I could think was, "Great! Yet another movie that glorifies the 60s drug-using hippy movement." I could be wrong though, I'm not really sure this movie is set in the 60s.
It was set in the 60's (at least I think, I'm horrible with dates), but as I said the trippiness is minimal. There is an actual plot, one that drugs don't play a part in at all.

Hey! I want more 60s drug movies. There are far too few honest portrayals of how fun and incredibly powerful drugs can be. We would be a much nicer species if we all took LSD and let other people change their heads as they wanted. It is unnecessary to glorify something that is already glorious. To my mind, acid is glorious.

I am VERY upset to see any reference at all the the 1960s. My wife and I were both born well after the 1960s and we have a FIRM, IRON-CLAD POLICY against anything to do with the years 1959 to 1969. The decade of "activities include baking batches of special brownies, ripping crispy bingers and burning bowls followed by the consumption of large quantities of chips, cookies, candy bars, ice cream, pizza, pretty much anything edible and some things that aren't," or anything to do with the Beetles, severely irritates us because we were born after all that was cool; to wit, the 1970s .
Anything that sends the message "the 60s were cool" is not acceptable to me. I estimate I have spent lotsa-lotsa money on 1970s nostalgia memorabilia and associated products in the last year, just in an effort to deny the 1960s. On an unrelated note, I was considering subscribing to your "Pathfinder" periodical, and did so on the first day of availability back in April. If Paizo allows any further reveling of the 1960s, I may need to rethink my choice. OK, that's an empty threat, I concede. Will I subscribe to GameMastery modules? OK, I did...do you see? It's a gateway...something! What's next, Planet Stories subscriptions? That is out of the question if you choose to market and sell the... uhh... wait...what was I saying?
OGL use is a "starter" for almost every other RPG out there.
Ummm....
...errr...
I really hope I can spend money on Paizo products again...
As soon as my wife goes to sleep and I can filch her credit card.
Down with the 60s!

The movie isn't about the Beatles, in fact they're never even mentioned. It's just a musical that features a bunch of Beatles songs.

I am quite serious, my friend.
