Don't bother clicking on any links. Use the links above.
** Be nice to the Paizo people though. Copy the URLs and go to some other website. This will get around WotC tracing back to Paizo.

Now that I've read it all. It seems interesting. Throwbacks to the Basic game, but kinda like the DDO.
Can't wait for more : )
that could be both a good thing and bad thing...
Good: makes it easier to learn and teach to anyone.
Bad : so simple its to simple no specialized classes everything is dumbed down....makes me want to call this new ed. Remedial D&D.
I will reserve my judgment till I get a look at wizards site and get some sort of look at the basic of the new system.

Hey, tdewitt274, thanks for all this info!
I was upset not to be able to access the Wizards site, but courtesy of you solved the problem at once...
Happy to serve. Nothing upsets me more than saying "Oooh! Something cool is going to happen!" and then getting an "Umm, yeah, we didn't expect this. Hold on while we fix things." Kinda like signing up for events at GenCon...

I'll leave you to your judgement. I'm all for progression. However, not everyone has 5 computers sitting around to take advantage of the new frills and thrills.
Besides, they always show the cool stuff first. My opinion? Saga edition with a few more tweaks. CoC, d20m, d20f, SW1 and SW2, and Saga have all been progressions. I just hope that they playtest it enough.
One big gripe though, 3 months to roll all 3 books again? Please. Don't insult us! Sure, yeah, you have to read them. However, you want to get started right away!
I'll stop now ; )

By any chance don't you have a backdoor to dndinsider.com?
I'd really like to apply for the 4th ed playtester job...
No back door for that. However, as above (I did an edit on the original post), click on the link in the upper right corner of the "Main Page" and it will bring you to http://forums.gleemax.com/ddi/ to sign up for a Message Board ID. It has all the GleeMax disclosures so if you have one, I think you're in. Not a bad idea to try it anyway.

I am going to sign up too in hopes I can get in the playtest as well wouldn't mind getting to see a little of it before it releases to help make a decision on what I decide next may....
I am with you on taking three months to release all three core...how are dms going to know how much exp to give for a cr without the DMG it seems to me like they should just release it all at once in May I guess we will all be winging it for two months...
but that just my 2 cp

FYI, on the Part 2 video (or was it something else, gets confusing after awhile), they hint at the RPGA for playtesting.
Looks like my original post didn't take. The above post is pretty close to what I did post.

Hopefully the two releases that they'll do before (can't remember where I saw them) will take care of this. I hope that they DON'T put the extra pages in the PH like they did last time. Maybe put a Quick Reference in the MM?

Sorry forks, forgot 2 other links:
Ampersand: http://ww2.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dramp/20070816a
Editorial: http://ww2.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dred/20070816a
That's what I get for waking up in the middle of the night!
For the lesser Web Inclined. Right clickingin on a link should allow you to copy the link in pretty much all browsers. If you see something new, right click and paste it into the address bar. Looks like changing the www to ww2 will take care of most of the link issues, but the "Print" links do work (haven't tried the Download links).

All done. Thanks for the info again.
However, I haven't found yet the right thread on the forum to sign up as a playtester...Aaron Whitley |
If you happen to try and URL and get the message indicating that the site is down, try adding &redi=1 to the end of the URL. That seems to get you to most of the links on the main page (Galleries, Settings, D&D Minis, etc). You can get the URLs for links by hovering over the link, right-clicking, select properties, and copying and pasting the address provide into your browser.

interestingly, I found that it said that my forum id I already have works for ddi. when I tried to put in my username (fairly unique) it said I already existed.
