I knew I smelled a sequel set-up in the treatment of the Asylum!

the one thing I noticed is the Archives map was missing the basement. I haven't read that far into the adeventure, so I don't know if it something critical or if I can just make it up.
Other than that, like Chimes at Midnight, I LOVE this adventure. Would love to see the third in the series.

The hostage on the steps though seemed very tame compared to the other two. Were you giving our minds a respite or was some demented scene cut for space reasons?

I just like the idea of seeing your friend or loved one beheaded. To me there is nothing more f&@+ed up than the decapitated head of someone you care about. Mouth still working, but no sound coming, still-seeing eyes darting about in horror...shiver. I think that's suitably messed up. You are hard to please on the f+!$ed-up-o-meter DMFTodd!!! ;-)

The third will be available as part of the free preview of DI (It comes out in Dungeon #151 and is called "Hell's Heart"). Thank god its part of the free preview, that makes me feel better about getting it out to people who wanted to read it. I originally wanted to do it as a free web supplement to #150 for Paizo, but there was not enough time. Now at least it's still free.
Thanks for the kind words too terrainmonkey! I don't have any players just yet in New York (well I have a bunch of friends I play with, but no steady game yet) so I hope to spoil them first chance I get!!! :-)

I'm really happy to hear that WotC will be finishing off this excellent trilogy and hope it indicates a willingness on their part to continue the best parts of the Paizo years. In other words: The Styes. Pett, that's your cue.

I hope WotC prints some more Styes. I know how to light a fire under Pett's ass...I'll email Chris Thomasson and offer to write some adventures set in the Styes for him...since it's WotC IP now. OH, I'M SOOOOO EVIL!!!

I'm nearly done reading through "Quoth the Raven", and what an awesome scenario. Such wonderful atmosphere, and truly twisted villains. I missed "Chimes at Midnight", but this is so cool I might just have to get that, and I'm really looking forward to "Hell's Heart"!
