What is the date of shipping?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

What is the date the first part will ship? I've been looking over the boards, but I can't find it. I know it says August, but any Idea what day?

No actual date has been given just "Some time this week".

So at least by friday. With Gencon and them rushing to get this shipped out they must be overloaded on work.

Wonder if there is a way to send them some cookies or something, to show some appreciation. lol

Hmm, Ungoded hasn't gotten to this one yet, so I'll do my best to answer.

Hopefully this week, maybe next. If you check some of the other threads on the board, Vic Wertz, Gary Teeter and the rest of the Paizo staff that have not headed off to GenCon have been physically boxing up the Pathfinder #1's and creating the mailing labels to stick on them (hopefully they'll get a fulfillment service or machine to help them as time goes on). At a minimum, we're talking thousands of Pathfinders (hopefully tens of thousands), so that's a lot of boxes/envelopes to pack. They're at least halfway there with the boxing, so they should (fingers crossed) finish this week. Since the digital watermark system and delivery server are complete (thanks Gary), pdfs should go out pretty quickly after Pathfinder is finally mailed.

Here I am.

I've completed the new watermarker code, so I'm now starting on the half-mile-of-postage code.

Which we won't even need for another day or two anyway because half the Paizo staff has been in the next room packing envelopes full of Pathfinder for the past couple days... and they're only halfway through the giant pile. :-)

It looks like it may be tomorrow. Hopefully the envelopes will be stuffed, the code will be written, the half-mile will be printed, the packages will be sent, and the pdf's will be downloadable.

When it is finally sent will you send e-mails to all subscribers? please. As much as I love visiting the boards I don't have internet at work. Stone Age, I know. So, could you send me an E-mail when mine hits the door on the way out.

PS: My wife is waiting on a t-shirt that is still on back order. It must come from China too.

Thank you very much.

A week or so before we're going to start shipping, we'll send you an email so you know we're going to be charging your credit card. We won't be doing this step for Pathfinder #1.

A few days before we start shipping, we'll authorize a charge against your credit card. If that authorization fails (expired card, etc.), you'll get an email notifying you and giving you suggestions as to how to fix the problem. (The suggestions vary depending on the type of failure.) Note, at this point your card has not yet been charged -- we're just making sure you have the money available.

Then we start shipping. This will take a few days since we'll be processing thousands of shipments, which is a wee bit more than we normally handle on a daily basis. When your volume ships, we charge your card (and send another email if the actual charge fails). If the charge succeeds, we ship your package, add the PDF to your My Downloads page and send you an email telling you this. So you'll get to download and read the PDF before you even get your printed copy delivered.

If we put cookies in the box pathfinder came in and then mark it return to sender, think it will get to the office?

Here's a question: If I subscribed before the 13th of Aug., does the Player's Guide get shipped along with Volume #1?

Hmmm. So there packing them as we speak.... So that means that My copie of pathfinder is siting about an hour away from me. By chance can I just stop by and pick up my copie?

Nope. We're not set up for that sort of thing. All hell would break loose. Cats and dogs living together!

Yes. And a Paizo catalog, too!

*gasp*

A catalog?! Truly, the value must be too much! Unless...yes, there's no way you could just 'give' away a bargain like that. There must be some nefarious plot here that I just don't see...Hmm...great products, wonderful service, value beyond all others, and now a catalog filled with more of the same...

Nope, not seeing it. I hope I can find some nifty info in that catalog so I can justifiably purchase more of your products, though!

...wait a minute...

Good to hear, hopefully it will make it some time early next week, and start reading over it.

Oh . . . but don't you know you could buy it direct from the source? I would expect that you can pick the book up from the website of the company the authors work for . . . I mean now, not back when they were contracted out to write the book.

Now, If I could just remember the name of the company.

You might even be able to get a signed copy.

At what point should I worry that I've not recieved my copy of PF#1 and rule book when I paid for the 2-5 business day delivery?

The Priority shipping method you selected for your ongoing month-to-month subscription only applies to issues shipped as part of that subscription. Your converted issues from your Dragon and Dungeon transition are shipped Bound Printed Matter rate, which is quoted at 3–10 days for Florida (and will probably be closer to the 10 than the 3).

You should also be aware that the USPS does not guarantee delivery times for either BPM or Priority Mail, so I'd say give BPM at least two weeks for Florida and Priority at least 7–8 business days.

Thanks for clarifying that and the quick reply =) - I've got the download version so that will due for now.

I nominate Vic for a raise.

Hey folks. My Order History states my copy shipped on Aug 20th with a 2-9 business day transit, so I'm right at the tail end of that if you take out Sunday. Still haven't recieved it. Everyone else getting their copies quickly?

I think I'll updgrade my shipping if I like the first installment. It's driving me nuts to not have it in hand. :)

-Bob

My copy is also listed as shipping on August 20th and I haven't received it yet. At my count, today is 8 business days after the 20th, so I'm expecting it today or tomorrow. (Which I'm really hoping for, because we'd hoped to get started over the Labor Day weekend!)
