Deities in issue #1?

Rise of the Runelords

Hello,

Anyone know if there will be any articles detailing certain gods in issue #1? Just wondering, I'd like to give any one wanting to play a cleric additional info.

I believe one or two make their way into the book, but as for details I wouldn't pretend to know the answer to that.

I seem to remember Mr. Jacobs telling us, but I cant find the thread.... anyone remember?

I believe Pathfinder #2 with have details on Desna and Pathfinder #5 will have them on Lamashtu.

There's some info in the Player's Guide, but not much in Pathfinder 1.

Some deity information does appear in Pathfinder 1, but it's not really "to help you make a cleric" info as much as background material. Pathfinder 2 will have a big article, Core Beilefs style, by Sean K Reynolds, on Desna. Pathfinder 5 will have one about Lamashtu. Until then, the Player's Guide is pretty much it. We've got some internal work already done on several deities, and that information will seep out in our products now and then or appear on the messageboards at times. If one particularly catches your interest, post a question here and if/when I have time, I'll see if I can give you a few tidbits to go on.

Awesome! Sean always does a fantastic job on those (and just about everything else, for that matter). Pathfinder keeps getting better!

I posted this in another thread, but it never hurts to repeat. I thought lamashtu's "core beliefs was in Pathfinder 4, not five. At least, thats what is says on the pathfinder homepage.

Will Sean K. Reynolds be writing the Core Beliefs-style article on Lamashtu?

Been searching about for more info on Pharasma and not finding a whole lot to help a player craft a cleric. Can you toss us those morsels if you've got 'em? Like many posters, I love the Neutral deity of death aspect. Nice.

Pharamsa's portfolio makes her seem like an oracular deity. Not the goddess of death per se, but of a life's cycle, cradle to grave. She's probably somewhat like the greek fates, but uses water as a conduit of divination and control instead of golden threads.

I have a player who's interested in her too. We're guessing her clerics are oracles and their articles of practice are daggers, bowls, blood and creepy meditation.

I'm interested to see what she actually is.

Aww, Selk, now you've gone and made me want Pharasma details even MORE. C'mon, now, JJ!!!

I am also dying to know more about these deities; Pharasma in particular.

You guys should put out a book detailing all of these deities in detail.

I hope the pun was intended because it made me laugh. I guess it doesn't matter either way. ;)

I am in the same boat. I have a player drooling over the possibilties of a Cleric with the Healing and Death Domains. More info would be great. Though I do see how the oracular angle fits.

Nethys has the Rune domain. If I wanted to make such a cleric what would they get from that domain, please? Even if its only the first level spell and special bonus I'd like to know.

This adventure path may be over before we find out what we need.

Also Pharasma is a cracking deity and I'd love to hear a bit more about her/him too.

Cheers

Dr. Jacobs, in your copious free time post-GenCon, perhaps you might also pass on some further tidbits on Irori?

I have faith in both of you.
