Beeler, no problem. Rest up, get well man.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Had a bad migraine all morning, but I feel pretty good tonight, which rocks. I know it is strange timing mid-stream, but would everyone like to use my hiatus as an opportunity to level up?

Sure! We're at that stage, xp-wise?

The party is close enough that they'd gain a level after the events occurring now, so might as well make the best use of my sabbatical, and keep everyone interested. We'll just round everyone off at the nearest level. I’ve already started a little work on giving everyone in both campaigns a small storyline based bonus ability when I return as well.

Red Mr. Shiny needs recap badly.

Hey Beeler, how'd the appointment go?

I think Eldin is all levelled...

EDIT: Apart from 3rd level feat selection: anyone got any good ideas for a cleric? It's not a class I usually play.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Well crapsticks. My post from earlier is just...poof.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Hopefully it comes back, but just in case:

It could have gone better, I have a month trial period on something I didn't want and doesn't appear to really be helping until I can gripe again to get what I think might actually help.

I'll have to think on good cleric feats, there are a ton out there.

I'll bring the updates with me to work (headed there right after class, have to wake up early on Teusdays), and I have a few presents to hand out yet too.

Everyone still with us? Thanks for the time, by the way!

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Friggity frack, ya'll.

Slight speedbump, as Marcy has a migraine today and I've been watching Drew, in addition to trying to get the laundry done, exercise, work on a presentation (about Devo, no less, not my choice), give a 6 minute speech on camera, get another lingerie order in (that one is going to have to get pushed to tomorrow, yet again, dammit), get my stupid movies out, cover my butt as Countrywide had my mortgage information hacked, read up on wallpaper sizing, and try to update here too. Not to mention I just discovered the freaking camera battery is dead as a doornail and I have to wait to charge the stupid thing so I can give the speech and GO TO SLEEP. Gah. Should be better tomorrow; at least it is sunny and cool out.

Cleric Feats: Hard to go wrong with improved init or extra turning. Improved turning not so much because at higher levels it doesn’t get you the returns you would expect.

There are some great Divine Feats in Complete Warrior (oddly enough), including this little gem:

Spoiler:
Divine Vigor [Divine]
Ability to Turn or Rebuke creatures
As a Standard Action, use up one of your daily Turn / Rebuke uses to gain +10’ movement and +2 Temporary HP per Character level. Both effects last for (Charisma modifier) minutes.

This one is awesome, personally:

Spoiler:
TOUCH OF HEALING [RESERVE]
You can channel divine energy into healing with a touch.
Prerequisite: Ability to cast 2nd-level spells.
Benefit: As long as you have a conjuration (healing) spell of 2nd level or higher available to cast, you can spend a standard action to touch a target creature and heal 3 points of damage per level of the highest-level conjuration (healing) spell you have available to cast. You can use this ability only on a target that has been reduced to one-half or fewer of its total hit points. The effect ends once you've healed the subject up to half its normal maximum hit points. This ability has no effect on creatures that can't be healed by cure spells.
As a secondary benefit, you gain a +1 competence bonus to your caster level when casting conjuration (healing) spells.

Thanks. I don't own much in the way of splat books, so a few suggestions definately help.

Divine Vigor it is. Seems appropriate for a cleric of Fharlanghn.

Shit. I'm now officially swamped.

Still here, and jazzed about leveling!

Yep, still lurking about the place.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Cool deal.

Just a quick note - I'll be in Australia from the 21st to the 29th, so if Marius could be NPCed in my absense, that'd be good.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Very cool, I'm envious!

Just waiting to make sure Blackotter is still with us.

Whereabouts in Oz Chris? Business or holiday?

I'm in Sydney by the way.

I'll be over on the Gold Coast for a friend's wedding. No plans to go anywhere near Sydney, alas.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

Gold Coast should be really nice this time of year; warm and sunny enough for the beach but not sweltering hot or ridicolously crowded as it gets in the middle of summer.

And you should hopefully miss schoolies week by a couple of weeks, which probably isn't a bad thing.

Quick update, still here, my fault for being slow on updates.

Still on the suck pills, had to go to sleep early yesterday due to class. Today I will be taking Drew to play in the mall play place while my wife gets all her beautiful, luxurious, waist-length hair hacked off (sigh), and then I need to clean up the spare room to prepare to take in an abandoned neighborhood cat. Tomorrow I need to take said cat to the vet, and assuming relations with the two existing cats go ok, I ought to be able to update (freakin’ finally).

Why?!?!

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Because women can be just as clueless as men sometimes, is all I can figure. According to the hairdresser, she can sell what she had cut off for about $1000, but she may yet donate it.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Guess who has tonsillitis? Woooo! Slept through the last two days; still too tired to think. I know it’s just something taking advantage of my body’s exhaustion, but cripes.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

Man, it just keeps getting suckier, doesn't it? Hang in there man - hope you're feeling better soon.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Thanks! Was doing better yesterday, then I exhausted myself again and my throat feels like I drank gas (well, close to it anyway, nothing quite feels like that). Think I'll be ok once I get my guy to get me better pills. Two more days.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

FREAKING PILLS BABY! Had to fight with him for about 45 minutes, but I finally got them (well, Walmart won't have them until Monday). WOOOOOOOOOO. Until then, I'll be taking these antibiotics for my throat and kidney infections (stupid falling apart body).

*Dons his doctors outfit* Oh! So you have a sore throat? I have just the thing.....pills, the bigger the better, and with such a thin coating that they will persistently get stuck on the affected area. Did I mention they are absurdly gigantic usually?

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Oh, thank goodness. At first, I thought it was the start of some terrifying come-on.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

That would be ... wrong.

How are you doing Mike?

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

I have returned to life. :) Co-workers have described it as "frightening" and "uh oh." I missed me.

Wednesdays catch me off-guard coming off of class and work, but if the crazy surge of nervous energy (read: normal for formerly deceased Mike) is any judge, I should be good to go for tomorrow. Everyone leveled and set?

Recap: what level should we be? I think I leveled up, but I'm not entirely sure.

Third. :) Just going over everyone's character now to catch up with any changes since I've regained my wits. If there is time, I'll drop a recap today. I would already have it up, but it finally stopped raining and warmed up, so I harvested my spearmint and rose hips and made a gallon of wine (which is busily preparing for fermentation as we speak). Won't be ready for two years, but it's going to be great.

Leveled and ready to go.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

I forget, where did we start Marius level wise? I have it written down if need be, just snuck away for a moment as Marcy and Drew came back from Saginaw sick.

Marius was started out at level two.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

I'm ready too. All levelled I believe.

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Ok, I though so too, because he's still showing as two.

It's always that one little number that gets missed...

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Well crapsticks. Site has been down, missed my update window. Will try again shortly.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

Almost missed the update! My dot had just dropped off the thread. But I've posted now...

Hey, quick heads up that I'll be away until Monday.

If we get in a fight, just have tyndal smash things :)

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

Hah! Aight, take care. :)

Liberty's Edge

(just getting my black dot back on the thread)

Male Humanoid Expert 2 / Magewright 1

I see how it is. Think you can just lay your filthy dots all over me, do you? I assure you, sir, I am not that kind of acquaintance. Harrumph!

Snowing by you yet?

Yeah, but it melts within about an hour. Ticonderoga's in a freakin' wind tunnel between Mount Defiance, Brimstone Hill, Lake Champlain, and Lake George. Ergo, the temperature can swing from fifteen to sixty degrees Fahrenheit over the course of a day.
