Nick is getting married next week!!! WOOT!
Before this he is heading to the North Shore of Oahu away from computers and writing to enjoy a week-long gaming bachelor party...
...after the wedding he is heading to reclusive Moloka'i to enjoy wedded bliss.
I will not be on the boards for two weeks. Don't all cheer at once. ;-)
Bye all! See ya in a few!

Please say hi to Donna Spier at the Moloka'i Cargo Agency for me, Nick! And watch out for snakes and radio-controlled cars rigged with bombs.
And hovercrafts.

Congrats Nick!
Have a wonderful wedding.
Remember, when things go wrong (if they do, which is normal), that those things are the things you will laugh about years down the line.... also, they help you remember the day, and as I recall from my own wedding, anything that will help you remember is a good thing (anxiety and stress from the day can make it seem like a blur)!

God, I remember that movie.
Congratulations, Mr. Nick. :) Be happy. Must be nice to start your wedding where so many have their honeymoons.

Congrats to you from me as well, Nick!!
I must admit, one of the happiest things in my life is having a loving, wonderful, beautiful, GAMER spouse at my side helping raise our bouncin' baby boy.
When I proposed, I didn't ask her to marry me; I asked her to be my wife. To marry someone is one day. To be a spouse is every single day. May you and your spouse have a long marriage of love, joy and abundance.

I did see a for real's aqua car today. It was a "geek moment" I s'pose. We saw an aqua car, and I told my wife what Sebastian said, and she said I'm a dork.
If she said you, her husband, was a dork for the aqua car comment, I shudder to think what she said about me. I'm guessing: "Isn't that the guy you always say is a total moron? He sure sounds like it."
I actually saw an article in the local paper a couple years back about an aqua car. They were produced in (I believe) the 50's or 60's. The ones in the article were full of tail fins and chrome.

Ah yes, a reaction with which I am also well acquainted. Now you, too, Nick, can have the experience of being called a dork by the love of your life. BTW, congratulations! :-)
Moloka'i... Isn't that where the leper colony was? And the giant Dole pineapple plantation? Not that they grow giant Dole pineapples... Lepers and giant pineapples, not sure where I'm going with that....

It is the island with the leper colony. My understanding is that some lepers remain on the island. My best friend is dating a girl from Moloka'i. Her family owns the only grocery store on the island or some such thing. I am constantly questioning her sanity given that running the family business involves staying on a lovely tropical island that most of us would kill to inhabit but for the incredible cost of living and total lack of viable employment to support said cost, but that's neither here nor there.
