Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Sovereign Court

So I noticed that the sorceress iconic has a great tribal/mystical tattoo settup.
Any chance the new campaign world will have magical tattoo rules?
I've seen them in a couple of other settings, and have never been entirely satisfied with the result. I'd love to see what the creative team at Paizo might come up with.

Yes; tattoos will play some part in Varisia. I'm not sure what yet. The rules will probably be associated with a feat or something at first, and later perhaps with a prestige class. The feat will, I believe, be part of the Player's Guide to the campaign.

Dragonblood ink.
Ink of powdered gems.
Some form of magical plant for ink.

Secret societies; forbidden tattoo lore.

I love Tattoos.

That Iconic I fell in love with the first time I saw her. Special ink of warding maybe, cause she aint got much else on to protect her.

I admit, I'm working on developing a binder-based PrC that makes use of tattoos. The binder tattoos himself with the sigil of his chosen vestiges, giving him either more power from them / easier bind checks / something else interesting.

Anything along these sorts of lines, where the tattoos draw upon other powers and/or are aspects of the power, are very interesting. You could probably do something similar with True Speech, actually... huh.

How is Seoni's name pronounced?

That's an interesting question. I would say (phonetically):

say-OH-knee

My sister-in-law, who's name is Seoni, would say (phonetically, with no accent or syllabic emphasis):

sohn-ee

I'm partial to say-OH-knee as well... a girl I knew in high school back in the day was named Seoni, and that's how she pronounced it.
