I was going to start the Savage Tide adventure path. I want to do an oriental adventure campaign. So I am going to base the campaign in Rokugan. Any suggestions on how to convert the Savage Tide Adeveture Path into a Rokugan campaign?
You could check out this thread for some ideas: Asian Savage Tide.

Been out of touch with the L5R world for a while, but will help all I can. I took a look at the suggested thread, and it unfortuantely doesn't include Rokugan suggestions.
For starters, I'd say base this around the Mantis or Tortoise Clans, perhaps with some Yasuki thrown in for futher merchanting.
Converting from a deepwater to a coastal sea campaign will also be important. You may find need to bring in some of the known gaijin countries to provide the vessels they will need for the long trip to farshore.
Converting from the abyss to the various spirit realms shouldn't be too hard. just need to pick one and turn the campaign around it.. I need to brush up on my terminology for much more..

Well, I'm not a big Rokugan fan, but if you want to get a feel for the East Asian maritime world and pirates there, you might look at the following books:
Louise Leviathes, When China Ruled the Seas
Jonathan Clements, Coxinga (haven't read this yet--it looks a bit sensationalistic, but probably has enough to give you an idea of the remarkable career of this important and interesting figure in Taiwanese history--known as Zheng Chenggong in Chinese)
Dian Murray, Pirates of the South China Coast
