Just got back from seeing The Host and let me just say this: it's not only one of the best monster movies I've seen in a long time, it's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. SO: Anyone out there who liked Jaws or Tremors, stay on the lookout for this one. It's in limited release right now here in the USA; hopefully it'll be expanding to a wider release so more folk can check it out.

I had been planning to see it when it came out in the cinemas here in the UK, but then noticed it for sale in Woolworths just the other week. Still haven't got round to seeing it yet as I am slightly dissapointed that I won't get to see it on the big screen now, but it does sound enjoyable.
I saw and extended short for this movie. From the looks of it the monster is great, the action scenes fantastic, some of the moments are very humorous, its filled with genuine family warmth, and a good take on current Korean/american relations and politics.
A definite must see for me!
