You know after thinking about it, a barbarian is as much of a culture as a paladin. A paladin is even supposed to have the same alignment and deity no matter the character.

Personally, I LOVE the Beta version of the Pathfinder Barbarian. I like how they made Rage work, how the fatigue works, and I love you can burn Rage Points for "trump card" abilities, like boosting your speed, your strength, your AC, your saves, etc. etc. Kind of like a non-magical Duskblade.
I'm not too big on the supernatural Rage Powers, like Darkvision and Energy blades. But guess what? I can just not choose to pick those Rage Powers for my PC. There's plenty of other choices out there.

Interestingly, this puts both Psion and Scout level with Barbarian.
