There is always the lucky 1 or 2 people who get the magazine a few days after shipment. What about the cover? Paizo still hasn't updated the site yet with the new cover.

Anyone?

people already have it?
I just got my new Dragon. Granted we dont always remmeber to check the mail. lol May check it like once a week, heh.

Liberty's Edge

Still waiting for it here in Utah although I don't rely expect it to arrive for another week or so.

just got it in the mail today, and i'm amazed at the speed - normally it takes a week and a half to get here, but this time it was here in... what, 2 days?

havn't ahd a chance to read through it all yet.. massive issue...

oooh i'm gonna be up waay too late tonight.

Ha, I just got Dungeon 137 last Saturday. I guess that's the price to pay for living about as geographically far from Paizo as possible while still being in the continental US.

I got it yesterday. There's an extra adventure.

Cool, I'm still waiting in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

I got it yesterday.
Minneapolis MN

I also got it yesterday.
Prior Lake, Minnesota

I got it this weekend, Columbus, OH. =)

To further underscore the pure randomness of the US postal service, I'm in Minneapolis as well and have not recieved mine yet.

I think my mailman is an aberration, but that's a conversation for another thread....

I was surprised to find mine in the mail on Monday. It hasn't been two full weeks yet since I got 137 and now I get 138. Go figure.

It's like... this dude... and he's, like, doing this... thing... with a buncha doohickeys.

It rules.

Oh, yeah... and there's a blue thingy!

Customer Service. That's my job. Yep.

That just sounds so cool. I'm getting adventure ideas just visualizing all that in my head.

Oooo.. What type of aberration? Strange abilities, bizarre anatomy, or alien mindset?

I know he has freedom of movement. 5 years I've lived in my house and he's never ONCE used the sidewalk....

Cosmo, you are my hero. I don't think I've ever had a dynamic scene with animated Egyptian statuary (uh-oh....another golem argument) described with such grace. >:)

Sounds like my husband trying to make breakfast for the kids...scary! ;)

What is the add for on the inside back cover? It should be the Dwarven Forge mystery set. Can someone describe the add and the name of the set?

Alien Mindset? You bet!

Postman
medium sized abberation
SA mimicry - looks just like a normal human; random mail delivery - it is impossible for a human mind to determine the schedule of delivery, Will Save DC 10 or going insane while trying to figure it out.
SD immune to critizism and improvement proposals, redirection - all personal critic is redirected to the "postal system"

heh heh

Also:

SQ Unnatural Aura - Dogs and other canines within 60ft sense the Postman's otherworldliness. This causes the canines to fly into a beserk rage (as a badger's rage ability) that does not end until either the animal or the Postman is dead.

Postal Rage (Ex): Flies into barbaric fury at slightest question of their job ability if questioned by a superior. Only usable by veterans of the Postman prestige class.

Consider yourselves lucky to have received #137. I still don't have mine. :(

I'll take care of that... A replacement's on its way.

cos

Thanks, I wasn't actually fishing for a replacement, just grousing. I'm sure it will get here eventually, but for some reason I've had really slow postal service here in the last few months. The only issues that went missing permanently were 2 of Dragon, and you guys were very kind to issue replacements for those.

Paizo: best customer service this side of Jeeves the Butler. :)

Does issue 138 really have the huge STAP preview I heard about?

Special Weakness: Dogs! Postman has to run for his life for 2d6 rounds upon seeing a barking dog.

So as a public service announcement I'd like to let everyone know that the best way to expedite your magazine delivery is to talk smack about him/her on a public message board. The previously mentioned aberration delivered my copy of 138.

My review so far: Wow. Absolutely wow. I started subscribing to Dungeon after picking up a copy of the issue that started AoW. #138 SMOKES that issue, and STAP hasn't even started yet. a HUGE pat on the back to everyone involved.

And to answer the previous poster's question- yes- BIG preview of STAP. Can't.... wait....

Grrrr... and I will have to wait two weeks (at least) before I can read it...
Oh well - a lesson in patience...

Postal System is, of course, their plane of origin -- the 423rd plane of the Abyss. They are ruled by the demon lord Postmaster General.

This inscrutable demon lord is plotting to gain control of neighboring planes by transforming them into Zone Improvement Planes (think about it) :)

Got mine yesterday (Greenville, SC)...

Someone please describe the Dwarven Forge AD on the inside back cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not worried. We all know that in order to get approve for his "Zoning Improvement" plans he will have to appear before the Zoning Board (aka the Dark Eight). The board will no doubt kill the plan with red tape.

How is the Mud Sorcerer's Tomb remake?

Liberty's Edge

My issue arrived on Tuesday. My son (who's almost 4) brought it to the house and told my wife, "Daddy's magazine came. He'll be so happy."

But anyhow, haven't had a chance to read through much of it yet, just read up through the Styes adventure, thinking about incorporating that into my current campaign.

My 5 year old went to get the mail - "Daddy! Daddy! Your Dungeons & Dragons magazine came!" - pieces of other dropped mail trailing behind her across the house, securely holding on to the only thing that matters.

The Weavers is very cool, haven't read any of the others.

That's awesome. Kudos to your kids for recognizing the important stuff. :P

I got issue # 138 yesterday. Really liked the "Mud Sorcerer's Tomb" may have to run that for my Sunday group sometime. And I also liked the Savage Tide AP preview. Looking forward to next issue, and of course curious to see where this AP will fit into conversions for Forgotten Realms and Eberron. (I'm guessing Nelanthar Isles for FR, and Lhazaar Principalities for Eberron.) Could be worng though.

My kids are 3 and 1. I just put my Dungeons in order on a shelf, and they knocked them over and stepped all over them.

Which means that the mail delivery time from the United States to Germany approximates that from the United States to Oregon... I've stopped hoping to receive anything in less than three weeks - quicker delivery is just a happy surprise. So, if it makes you feel any better, I'm sure you'll have it before me.

Issue 138 arrived at my FLGS yesterday. As a subscriber, I'm not due to get it for at least two weeks (according to ThePlaceForGames website).

I've gotten pretty good results here in Bend. Maybe I should just drive up to the top of Willamette or McKenzie pass and chuck it at ya. You'd probably get it faster. :)

My daughter (who's 16 months old) would eat them if she could get to them.

They do that. When I was a kid, our postman tried to sue us because he broke his ankle tripping over a sprinkler head in our front lawn. Guess HE didn't have freedom of movement, 'cause that entangle spell I put on it took him out. He he.

Edit--oh yeah. This thread reminded me to go downstairs and get my mail. #138 is here (Lansing MI). Guess I know I'll be spending my evening.

Another Utah subscriber here, and I have not received mine yet. I'm hoping for Friday so that I can take it with me on my weekend trip...

Seems to take a few extra days to get to St Louis, typically.
#138 still isn't here.

Got mine yesterday (AZ). I am really looking forward to running the updated Mud Sorcerer's Tomb module.
