Spire of Long Shadows Room 12 Question


Age of Worms Adventure Path


I've been pouring over The Spire of Long Shadows, but I don't see any entry for rooms 12A, 12B, or 12C. Am I just missing it?

That's the one with the three Kyuss knights, right? I just kind of assumed that one would appear from each sub-chamber.


I also figure that the three rooms were for each Kyuss Knight, but there's no description of the rooms or treasure. I could drum up something myself, but I'm hoping that somewhere the information is available.

Did the text for these three rooms get edited out for space? If so, can someone post the information for us?


I just concluded that these chambers were little more than holding cells (despite their size). They have nothing in them except for a few writhing worms and puddles of slime and water. It's really not that big a deal Jake. Just put the first Kyuss knight in room A and so on. Problem solved.

You're right, of course. I was just wondering (A) if I missed the entries and/or (B) what was originally planned for the rooms.

It just seems like they were meant to be something more than empty rooms. The description of room 12 says that it is well-appointed, and that Kyuss "made ready for his ascension here." It kinda goes hand-in-hand that any adjoining room would have had a special purpose... an altar to Nerull, a treasure room, Kyuss' personal sleeping chamber?

Plus, when someone goes through the trouble to label rooms A, B, C, I'm expecting a write up for the rooms.

I've taken my fair share of liberties with various things that have been left for us DMs to develop. I just wanted to see what was available before I did something else.

But since it seems that there is nothing on them, what plans do all the DMs have out there?


If the Kyuss Knights are going to have personal treasure
roll it up before hand.
You could just have potions with worms in them in their rooms.
Maybe some good items with one cursed item.
Maybe gold and art they have no use for once they became undead.
