Dungeon and Dragon survey

Website Feedback

I just took the survey and one thing I reacted about was the music section. How come there was no heavy metal or just metal category there for us metal freaks?

So now you have to delete all your answers, add the new category in music and do it all over again :-p

Or you can just give some free stuff to shut me up hehe.

We fans of gothic music found our musical preference ignored in similar fashion.

For shame, Paizo!

Yeah, well, both Vic and I really REALLY wanted to put a listing for Indigo Girls, but we were outvoted.

We feel yer pain...

gore-grind is always left out :(

After reading the "What's in your CD player" thread, there can be no doubt that metal is one of the most popular music genres among the readership. We simply forgot to add it to the genre list, and once the survey is live there's no way to modify the options without ruining the data.

I know, I know. The high school version of me is sneering right now too.

My apologies to Eddie, Vic Rattlehead, and the Danzig skull. :)

Primitive Motorhead fans.

Liberty's Edge

My musical tastes are as schizoid as Demogorgon's two heads. Not to denigrate Stan Getz, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Dizzie Gillespie, the true children of the Muses....but a little frenetic Accept "Metal Heart" always goes nice with a spot of the old orc splatting ultraviolence.
But... thinking back to A Clockwork Orange...maybe the next big fight scene needs Getz/Gilberto "Girl from Ipenema" followed by Miles Davis' "Green Dolphin Street."
"In the morning you go gunning
For the orc who stole your water..."
Get back, jack, do it again.

Pah! I bet that Vaughn bloke likes jazz......

So, did you know what Kyuss was doing all those years in his imprisonment?

He put on his pink dress and went crazy singing: Tell me what you want, what you really really want....

Worm power FTW!

Indeed! Most groups of PCs look a lot like the band photo from "Iron fist" anyway...

Simply forgot Heavy Metal !?

This is an insult to people who buy your products.

The two things I love in life are Dungeon & Dragons and Heavy Metal. Now, I have to consider withholding my money from you in protest, because that is the American way!

Have you not just statistically biased your own data?

Isn't biased data what Bush used to send us into Iraq?

Well, in the scheme of things, the impact may be a bit less profound.

Here's hoping.

For shame, Paizo!

Also how did Rock and Pop get in the same catogory? There is enough different Rock genres to fill a page by their selves (ex Folk Rock, Hard Rock, Rock Opera, and Classic Rock)!

Even more shame.

thats an easy one. if you go to a CD store, that is how it is labeled rock and pop are normally mixed together

How relevant/useful will be the answers from those not residing in the US/Canada? In such cases, it would be useful to qualify my answers by saying for instance that: I buy books and RPG stuff from American stores and websites only when I visit the US; ticket prices for movies where I live obviously are different from that in North America; and I don't attend the conventions listed for the simple reason that I live elsewhere.

It's all useful. We want to know what percentage of our readers, for example, go to Gen Con—and whether or not you personally want to, you don't. So it's still good data. Does that make sense?

Sure did. Thanks Vic.

If you are not a metalhead, you might as well be dead.

Whoa. This is the Paizo messageboard equivalent of a Lazarus taxon. Lazarus thread?

I think the new search feature may be the culprit . . . ;)

Where can I find this survey?

This thread is in violation of Article 11, Subsection 21, Paragraph 2. Post this old should never be bumped, I mean look at what you did to poor blope... making him think he can take a 4 year old survey

As a matter of fact.. those costumes surely must be a violation of some kind...

aha...didnt notice it was old. my bad.

Don't apologize, you're not the one in gross violation of forum etiquette.

Now about those costumes....

Don't forget about THESE GUYS.

I mean THESE GUYS.

There are those of us that would say DF is NOT metal. And they themselves will also tell you that.

Black Sabbath would also say they are or where not meant to be metal but Heavy Blues and Led Zep the same. But I myself do put Sabbath into the metal.

Now give me Maiden or give me Death. As the Priest is unleashed in the east.

But I will say also I do love Within Temptation as mush as those other two named and get into Kamelot, Saxon, Symphorce, Hammerfall, Nightwish and the Gods know more.

Lemmy is God... Up the Irons!!!

Threadsurrection! No!

This thread is old. Having said that, I think Paizo should do more Dragon / Dungeon polls, because I want to know what they'd ask about next.
