Dungeon #135 arrives in UK

Customer Service

Just a quick note to say that Dungeon #135 arrived in Cambridgeshire UK this morning - looks good :-)

For the last few months Dungeon and Dragon have been arriving together. Today I just got Dungeon on its own, so I am guessing that the UK distributor has stopped waiting for Dragon to arrive before mailing both of them, and that Dragon will arrive in a week or two.

Either that or monkeys stole it. I have trouble with monkeys so that is a distinct possibility...

Liberty's Edge

I am in the UK, and received Dungeon today, but no Dragon. What made it doubly worrying was that I also received a letter today from Paizo (with a US postmark) telling me that my Dragon subscription has expired, even though I renewed it online at least a month ago...

It's comforting to see I'm not the only one.

Dungeon arrived this morning - Cambridge, UK.

This was a nice suprise as given recent delivery dates I wasn't expecting it for at least another week.

Dungeon #135 here in Belfast, although no Dragon #344 (yet, at least).

Assuming everyone posting here has or will soon have Dungeon #135 so I don't need to worry about spoiling it: Holy crap, level 30 rank 1 deity? AC59 with DR15/epic and 660HP? He's so powerful they couldn't put a challenge rating on him!

From the DM's point of view, that's pretty excellent.

The Exchange

I'm not at home this weekend, so I will see if Dungeon 135 is waiting for me tomorrow.

Re the delivery problems, the UK distributors (The Place For Games) seem very nice but may have efficiency issues. In particular, the integrity of their database may be poor, or they are simply not using it properly. I called them as both Dungeon 134 and Dragon 343 had not been delivered, and immediately afterwards I received the Dungeon (not the Dragon) but at a previous address (and so the only reason I got it was because my parents still live there). They also mentioned that their stuff was going missing, but assumed it was the Post Office rather than themselves (always possible, but my experience suggests otherwise).

Notwitstanding, they seem a friendly bunch and willing to help. So in the event of non-delivery, I suggest all UK subscribers (I think they might do the European subscriptions too, so this may also apply to European subscribers) give them a call (the number is on their website, www.theplaceforgames.com) as a starter. But I also suggest that The Place For Games check out their process for mailing magazines, as it appears to have a few glitches. And Paizo may want to assure themselves that their distributors have effective processes, since any problems may reflect unfairly.

Anyway, looking forward to Dungeon 135 when I get it..... :-)
