Acrobatics in combat / action?

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

A PC has made an acrobatic check to move through an enemy's square, moving his full movement.

Does this movement and skill check constitute a move action and standard action?

Or is this movement one standard action? It would seem to me that there is a move action and a standard action in the DC check to move through the square.

The PC did bring up a point, though, in the the rules aren't saying what type of action the movement is. He thinks he should get to take a standard action after the check and move.

Moving your speed is a move action. Tumbling costs double movement for each space tumbled through, and is part of the move action.

The only time it would use his standard action would be if he didn't have enough movement to cover the distance, and had to do a double move to get there.

So if your player had a speed of 30 and moved 30 feet while tumbling part of that distance, he actually counts as having moved farther, and would have to double move.

I would like to add that if you add a +10 to the difficulty of the acrobatic check you can still move a full 30 feet without taking a double move. So, if you make your move check be it 1/2 distance or full distance; it only counts as a move action and YES you can get on standard attack. There is even a feat that grants you an attack bns for doing this.
