Why are the starwars characters qualified as human? Humans are from earth. In starwars they would be from Alderaan or one of the other core planetary systems that didnt become extinct with a test firing of the death star because one princess just happened to be a leader of a terrorist organization.

If you have the Beginner Box Set of Edge of the Empire what is the benefit of having the Beginner Box of Age of Rebellion?

Earthlings are from earth. Humans are bipedal creatures widely believed to be evolved from apes who have a variety of skin-tones, heights, weights, eye color, hair color, etc.

By your reasoning, there should not be humans in Pathfinder, as they are all from Golarion.

New adventures, new poster map, new Age of Rebellion pre-gens, more dice. The rules will be mostly the same which is a general issue with this line from FFG - a lot of the rule content between EotE, AoR and beyond is the same material. Different species/career type options, some different equipment/ships/etc. and different theme but you get a lot of redundancy if you want to buy them all.

Liberty's Edge

I have all the Edge of the Empire stuff. But I can't get a group in my area to play. I was wondering how does it play? Is it easy to get used to the different symbols on the dice? Is it easy enough to adapt to mini/ battlemat combat?

System seems great just not sure how it plays.

@ CapeCodRPGer -

SW: EotE runs really nicely! It's fast-paced and is a lot more flexible than most RPGs.

It should only take 20 minutes or so of actual play to start automatically sorting the symbols.

You can use maps all you want, but the fact that you don't have to is great (especially after all my years of D&D/Pathfinder).

An excellent resource (if you have the time) is the Order 66 Podcast. You can listen to them (or download them) here:

Order 66 Podcast (Feedburner)

You should head over the the Fantasy Flight Games forums to get more help on the subject!

I'm playing in a campaign, running my niece in a game (her first RPG), and when I finish GMing Skull & Shackles, I'm going to run it as my main game.

Cheers!

Yes, but the use of those symbols can be very difficult to puzzle out outside of combat. Advantages and Triumphs, even when you fail a roll, still will have skill-specific uses. And don't be afraid of the d6's. My group is constantly throwing out boost and setback ideas for both ourselves and enemies.

That's true. Another great resource is "Skill Monkey" (which is featured on the Order 66 Podcast, but can be found individually here:

Skill Monkey

The best one pointed out how to use the actual dice the results came from to narrate the effects.

The specific episode is here: Die, Master

Cheers!

Cape cod it runs very well

Just remember to be starwarsy in how you play

Dice are very easy to get used too and excellent for visual people who may not have great maths skills!!

Liberty's Edge

Age of Rebellion hits stores this week. Picking it up but still no one to play :(
