Write them down!

Also, did you notice you have a "Dedicated Voter" tag?

Also, did you notice that I am naked?

Note them down for next year. Then put them in something safe & empty for next year, like ____'s heart, ____'s Soul Jar.

I am. I'm also playing with archetype ideas. I've got next to no shot of top 32 this year, but maybe by next year I will no longer be flailing about wondering how to activate Bracers of Web Shooting.

And I did notice. I am working on getting the next tag.

Why can't the presidential elections work like this?

Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr !!!!

translation of the traditional german greeting:

A good slide into the new Year !!!!

we will do raclette with friends this evening

do you do fireworks today in your countries? the 4 days before Silvester are the only days fireworks can be legally bought in Germany
I don't buy them myself (never did) but my friend we will visiting usually spends a small fortune on fireworks

Fireworks are more of an Independence Day thing in my neck of the woods.

Granted, with the snow still coming down, not sure how well a fireworks show would go anyway.

to celebrate Silvester, watch the biggest band in Germany "Die Toten Hosen" play Auld Lang Syne

Jot them down for next year. Or the next campaign you GM.

Yeah, you can only buy Fireworks at New Year, Chinese New Year and Guy Fawkes Day in the UK.

Of course they are prohibitively expensive, so most people don't buy them. But I feel it's becoming more popular recently.

Kiddos are firing fireworks for days now with growing frequency as the New Year's Eve is closing.

Well, Max showed up to work only to find that the company had been sold to a Chinese pinball machine manufacturer who subsequently replaced all the employees with anthropomorphic pinball machines. Meanwhile, Steve's visit to Texas took a dangerous turn when he showed up at a gathering with salsa made in New York City. And, across town, Scott continued to search for that one, perfect.......No, wait! That's my soap opera!

NEW YORK CITY!?!?!!

Today is already off to a better start than yesterday. Yesterday was 'fun' with menniere's courtesy of the apartment complex having the roof of our building redone...over the holidays....WTF??! Woke up to loud scraping noises over my head and a generator going just outside my window. Spent the first three hours or so curled up in a ball in excruciating pain before they let up enough for me to even be able to sit up let alone get out of bed. Yeah, it was that kind of day. At least now they've moved on to a different part of the building.

We don't get a lot of folks dong fireworks for new year around here. Although there are always one or two who do not find snow to be any kind of deterrant to lighting a few fireworks. The rest of us prefer to stay inside where it's warm. :)

Ugh, that sucks to hear. Hope things stay better.

Superstar: Another fine idea with so-so execution...

FREE!

We always celebrate new years eve with a day of feasting on snacks we normally wouldn't indulge in. Currently enjoying some red bean mochi with my green tea. Tomorrow I will make crispy duck. The rest of my family hates it so I only indulge on new year. :)

Midnight approaches and explosions of firecrackers intensify...

I could use some sweets now. :(

Silver Crusade

I am going to make my signature Shrimp Spread for a New Years shindig. I haven't made it in a long time.

Spoiler:

1 can of tiny shrimp
3 oz cream cheese
roughly 1 Tb mayonnaise
roughly 3-4 Tb cocktail sauce
1/4 tsp dried mustard (or wasabi seasoning if you want an extra kick)

Mash the shrimp and cream cheese together. (Based on experience, I don't recommend using a food processor or blender unless you are really good with them; the mixture should be coarse, and those devices will too easily give you a smooth mousse-like consistency. Mousse-like seafood is gross.)

Mix in the other ingredients and adjust to taste.

Serve cold with crackers.

Haven't seen canned shrimps here in Poland, (but I wasn't looking for them). I was never impressed by apparent quality of refrigerated shrimps easily available but as I am cutting expenses at every opportunity I might haven't been in right places for such purchases.

Silver Crusade

They look like this. Around here, I usually find them near the canned tuna fish. Some people put them on salads or pizza, although I've never cared for that. Mashing up full sized shrimp seems like a waste, so I just use the canned ones. I think the can I bought cost $2.

I should also specify that this assumes American cocktail sauce (ketchup and horseradish). I understand cocktail sauce is something different in Europe.

Superstar: Sooo much overpriced healing item... Nice idea but nowhere near comparable to trinket of two heals per day in a can.

Damn fireworks, what those people think it is? Some kind of end of the year or something?

Tell them to get off your lawn!!!

That's what I do, and when they don't, I cut 'em!

*brandishes knitting needle*

Laundry done. I might have lost a few more socks, however.

I might have my mother's or grandmother's knitting needles somewhere.

I certainly have some sewing needles and pins.

Meh, I hoped I finish blog entry before midnight. Instead I done everything else except writing and have one sentence. Which I might change yet.

*kicks the superstar voting delay* Faster! Count faster!

2013 does not seem to be special in any way...

Look better.
