The newest Pathfinder Adventure Path is here!

From the pungent tables of the Rusty Dragon to the rowdy Hagfish, no location on Golarion says home to Pathfinder fans than that sleepy coastal village of Sandpoint. You get to return to this iconic town with Pathfinder Adventure Path #49: The Brinewall Legacy!

The Jade Regent Adventure Path kicks off with our 49th Adventure Path and once again, Sandpoint needs brave men and women. Goblins, explosives, and foreign undead nest amongst secrets that guide PCs halfway across the planet to help a friend, save an empire, and maybe fall in love.

Jade Regent offers more for players and gamemasters alike than an exciting eastern-flavored fantasy campaign. Players must manage a caravan and trek across desolate plains, explore a Varisian castle, battle Viking warlords, cross the frozen secrets of Golarion’s northernmost expanse, and gain allies in a far-flung land with its own ancient traditions and lost civilizations. Each volume of the Jade Regent Adventure Path will come jam-packed with information on never-before seen corners of the planet! Combined with the free Jade Regent Player’s Guide, players can wheel and deal as they travel the world, and befriend or seduce major NPCs.

Aside from the adventure written by favored author James Jacobs, we have a slew of new creatures, including aquatic insects and a demon with real-world origins! With the ecology of the oni also included, you would think that would be enough...but we're not done! Count Varian Jeggare and his hellspawned bodyguard, Radovan, return in the next installment of the Pathfinder Journal written by Dave Gross, author of Prince of Wolves and the upcoming Master of Devils!

With the release of The Brinewall Legacy, we're trying something a bit different. For Adventure Path subscribers and purchasers of the PDF, we've included an interactive map PDF that will allow you to click a button and remove map keys, or will let you hide secret rooms from player view! We hope this little feature will help out all those GMs wanting to show off the gorgeous maps in the adventure without having to fiddle with a paint editor to remove room keys!

New horizons, both literal and figurative, is the aim with the Jade Regent Adventure Path. What better place to start your journey than somewhere that already feels like home? Check out the debut of Sandpoint with the first Pathfinder Adventure Path, "Burnt Offerings", and get a sneak preview of the upcoming Jade Regent Adventure Path here!

This write up is the first thing that's got me excited about this Adventure Path. I actually can see me playing or running this.

The map pdf intrigues me as well. Will it also have the ability to print the maps at battle map proportions without a lot of jiggery pokery. I know we can extract them and resize them with a paint tool program and then use a poster generator to chop them up into A4/Letter sized pieces. Having a pdf that knew how to do this without a lot of manual intervention on my part would be awesome. I don't care if it looks a bit naff because it's been resized, it will look that way if I do it myself.

It's a similar proposition to do I want an unpainted metal mini that takes loads of work before I can use it, or a nice pre-painted plastic job. My money's on the pre-painted plastic and — by extension — on the auto-sizing battle maps.

Pretty please.

Can we get a high resolution picture of Wayne Reynolds depiction of Ameiko? Pretty please? :)

Oh, much yes, please. I'd like to have 8.5 x 11s of the major NPCs, just clip them on the outside of the GM screen so players have a visual of whom they're talking with.

Some versions of Adobe Reader will allow you to select her image from the cover page of the PDF and paste it into another graphic program. You may have to do some cleanup of the surrounding edges, but after a few applications of white paint, I got a nice pic of her without anything else.

That smirk makes me giggle.

The guys at Paizo have the image in better resolution, I think. So it would really be cool if they could put it up on the blog one of these days. :) I'm hoping the Shalelu image from the next module will be just as awesome as Ameiko here. :D
