For reference, this pack has more cards, and the prices for printing stuff, both paper and cardboard, have shot up these last couple years, by more than 80%. So yeah. The prices of pretty much everything are (and will continue) to raise a lot in the coming years.

While $80 is a lot, the fact that this has 550 reference cards (and I presume of the same quality as the pre-remastered versions) makes it worth it for me. I may have a skewed view on this though as I've been watching how much money my son shovels into his Warhammer 40K obsession so I don't feel so bad about money I spend on Pathfinder anymore!

Yup! As someone who is into the miniature side of 40K as opposed to the gameplay side, the very idea that Games Workshop will charge $60 for a 128pg codex that can be invalidated only a few weeks after its release via rules updates? *shakes head*
Listening to people complain about the price of these cards is HILARIOUS to me. If you're running a regular or semi-regular Pathfinder game? Even at $80? These cards are STILL a steal.

I have all the pre-remaster ones. They are SO easier to use to show the picture than covering half the book of bringing up AoN or some other site.
AND, when I have a player that have summons, I give them all the cards they can summon, and they have a nice "summoning" deck. :3

Pawns are thick cardboard that are primarily meant for use as tokens on a physical table, Battle cards are large sized thin cardboard (think playing card) that have a picture of the monster on one side, and the statblock on the other.

They are, however, much bigger than standard playing cards.

Any one else not able to download the .jpg versions for Monster Core Battle Cards from their Digital Assets page?
I downloaded the pdf without a problem, but the .jpg download just spins for a second and the nothing.

I had this problem too, actually! It could be a website issue, but in the meantime, reach out to Customer Server at customer.service@paizo.com to see if they can help!

I just purchased and have experienced the file issue with the JPGs. Ticket has been submitted.
That's so weird! I don't have the issue anymore, and it shows that the file was updated this week! Yes, please reach out to Customer Service about it, and send them some screenshots of what you're experiencing! We've been spending time actively trying to fix this this week.

Still broken. I can now download a ZIP file, but it just contains a single file (0 bytes) named “PZO10008-MC Monster Core Battle Cards-BACKS-372.jpg”.

Thanks. Received a quick repose from Customer Service advising they were aware and that the issue was being worked.

Got a response from support saying they know there is an issue. Just tried again and it now says download is 221 bytes which is a step forward from not showing anything!
Waiting somewhat impatiently for the resolution. Cheers :D

From those who owned the .PDF of this, any updates? I don't wanna waste $20 if there's still ongoing issues downloading these.
Issues persist, but they are being worked on! As a word for the wise, I check with our team about this and check my own download every week day, so if you like, you can just wait until I post here that is has been resolved! Once it's been definitely fixed, I'll make a post here announcing so.

I had no reply from Support after six days so I re-requested and received a quick reply: "Thank you for reaching out. We are aware of the issue and are working on fixing the cards and files. However this is a manual process to ensure the files are correct and show up and can be downloaded as intended. Once the updates have been made and files corrected, we recommend refreshing your downloads or clearing cache and cookies and attempting to download them again. An automated email should be sent to you informing you the PDF/cards have been updated however if you do not see an automated email in the future please reach back out to us."

Just stopping by to check in on if the digital downloads were fixed, sounds like we are still in a holding pattern.
Hey, Yoshua! The PDF file for the Pathfinder Monster Core Battle Cards is perfectly fine! For the downloads of the JPGs for the fronts and backs of the cards, the team is still working! If you click the download now, the folder is empty because each file has to be manually added by our team. Once we finish adding all of these, the empty folder will be replaced with a full one! I'll update here when that's done!

JPGs Updated!
I checked my downloads and noticed two updated JPG downloads for this, although I did not get a notification from Customer Service. There are now actual images (one folder) and texts (separate folder) that are actually usable.
I still don't understand the thinking behind the PDF layout: 112 text, 112 image, 122 text, 122 image, 103 text, 103 image, 118 text, 118 image, and 116 text, 116 image.
