A Starfinder Society Special designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters (subtiers 1-2 & 3-4).

The Szandite Collective is an alliance of seven planets spread across four adjacent star systems in Near Space, and connected by a psychic network of szandite crystals. Although the Collective has consisted of seven planets for all of its post-Gap history, long ago, it once numbered eight, as the planet Krethiskar failed to reconnect following the Gap. With only an approximate idea of where the planet existed in relation to the rest of the Collective home worlds, Krethiskar is lost, and progress on its rediscovery is painfully slow.

Palivhar Chooser of Hues, a respected scholar, astronomer, and member of the Starfinder Society’s Forum, is a citizen of the Szandite Collective and has long sought the missing planet Krethiskar. After decades of sifting through psychic echoes stored within szandite crystals, leveraging potent divinations, and cross referencing the Starfinder Society’s vast galactic databases—all to meet with failure—Palivhar experienced a vivid, recurring dream of a voice, reaching across time and space, to guide them to Krethiskar. Following their dreams into the unexplored reaches of Near Space, Palivhar discovered the very planet that had eluded them for so long: Krethiskar.

Now, Palivhar leads an expedition of Starfinders to Krethiskar’s surface, to survey the planet, locate its szandite crystals, and determine what happened to the citizens of this lost collective. Unfortunately for the Starfinder Society, Krethiskar is a huskworld consumed by the voracious Swarm in ages past. Palivhar’s survey expedition is doomed to become a desperate fight for survival, as the hibernating Swarm awaken. Can you escape the planet alive?

Why is there a cap at level 4 when the campaign is ending and nobody is making low level characters anymore? This is the time to let the level 10s shine.

We've never been given solid numbers, but the Scoured Stars hardback suggests that the Forum is actually fairly large. The Forum is "the most numerous of the Society's leaders" and made up of veteran field agents, managers, scholars, and some venture-captains. They're essentially the entire upper-management bureaucracy running the Society.

For me it actually raises the question of whether the faction leaders shouldn't be officially considered Forum members as well.

Is this a multi table, or a special like Into the Perplexity?

Multi-table, I believe.

A 1-4 Multitable at the back end of a campaign?
Interesting decision.

A 1-4 multi-table really boxes a lot of characters out.

And given the content, it seems very odd that a multi-table would mobilize a large number of society members but bring none of the veterans for leadership.

"We have an important mission. We're going to need dozens, maybe even hundreds of Starfinders. I need a list of our newest, least experienced, least capable agents for this important work."

Honestly, I would have loved to bring my old Attack of the Swarm character out of retirement and have him throw down with the bugs for one last hurray.

I get the feeling the veterans are going to be busy with a much tougher task.

Horizon Hunters

Hopefully there is one for the lvl 5-10 characters. I had planned to bring my lvl 7 to the special at paizocon this year.

Really???? Season 6 feels like such a weird showing compared to the others I have participated in. I love the story but the game design and the level restrictions are really odd. And now the finally is levels 1-4?!? I really don't understand the marketing behind this season. Hopefully they listen to the confusion and mild outrage and adjust this. - David

Don't expect this to be the finale.

Concur; for good or ill, SFS hasn't tied multi-table events to seasonal metaplots since Year Two.
