A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 4th-level characters.

Drandle Dreng's unmasking as the member of the Decemvirate known as Sapphire has left the Sewer Dragons in a sort of limbo, with one of their strongest political allies largely stripped of influence. Chief Yiddlepode still believes that these agreements with outsiders is the best way to keep the Sewer Dragons strong, but, while that was an easy case to make before their territory was devastated, doubts have arisen among other members of the tribe in the ensuing years. Trapmaster Tok especially has begun to blame the Pathfinder for their misfortune. He has issued a challenge to Yiddlepode for the leadership of the Sewer Dragons, and she has turned again to the Pathfinders. The conflict brewing beneath the streets of Absalom threatens to destabilize the whole city. The PCs need to prove to the beleaguered kobold allies that the best way foward is together.

Relies too much on cute factor and nostalgia

    3/5

Mechanically there's nothing wrong with this scenario so it gets 3 stars for that.

However plotwise it makes no sense. The bad guy motivations are illogical and ill conceived (let's kill pathfinders and hope they won't send much stronger agents to avenge them). Random goblins show up out of nowhere. Random kobolds first fight to the death then decide to join. The most fun, memorable and reasonable scene was dinner with corrupt official, everything else is just slapstick comedy.

Great scenario, with a minor caveat

    5/5

One of the better designed skill heavy scenarios I've seen published in a long time, with enough opportunity to roleplay. An important sidenote is that players should really be made aware of which minigame they are playing, otherwise the DC's will end up a lot higher than expected (as was mentioned in a previous review).
The combats are interesting enough, though somewhat on the easy side, especially with the possibility to bypass some.
I do recommend playing a talky character for this one, as it is very rewarding.
Story wise, this one is fun, and a good callback to the PF1 storyline.

    Terrible

    1/5

The nature, setting and premise of this scenario is interesting but it has one of the worst skill challenges I have ever seen in a PF2 scenario. Obscure or unusual skills with DCs way above the expected level almost guarantee failure.

Loved the diversity of tasks and roleplaying opportunities

    4/5

I can imagine there will be those who won't like this scenario. I'm not one of them. I for one found it refreshing, fresh, fun, and interesting. I also enjoyed the obvious tie-in to previous works. This scenario highlights diverse mechanics and provides plenty of opportunities for strategy, creativity, and roleplaying. If you're looking for "just kill it" this is not that.

Based on the map selection, I'm wondering if we'll be visiting a certain Goblin King. Hmm.....

So there is. Curious then that it is not listed in my upcoming subscriptions, nor is there a link to it from this page above the comments.

Your not alone - I have the same problem. I opened a ticket Friday morning but I haven't received a response yet.

Is it just me or does the description need an edit?

Trapmaster Tok especially has begun to blame the Pathfinder for their misfortune.

    Shouldn't Pathfinder be plural?

Could be referring specifically to Sapphire.
