    What a thrill to play

    5/5

I played this scenario live at Gen Con and I have to say, this may be one of the best yet.

While it retains most of the hallmarks of a Paizo multi-table special, this one just upped everything to 11! I enjoyed that there was a little 'intro' one at the start of each part that set the stage, and then you could choose which one to do after that. Every mini-mission you go on felt integral to the success of the scenario, and the buffs you get as you go seemed to tie in well to that.

The other players at the table I was at tended to focus on the combat missions, but we did do a couple puzzle ones. Those two types seem to be better suited to the specials anyways, since social encounters tend to take a bit more time, and you really want to try to crank out as many as possible in the short time you have.

The build-up to the final boss and the final boss itself was great. My character specifically had two standout moments disarming the boss of his cool toys, not attacking him, then getting wailed on anyways and killing him by electrostatic field. High fives were had all around the table. I wont forget this one any time soon.

I also dug that there was something to do after the big bad to keep the quicker tables entertained while everyone else finished up. Kudos to the Starfinder team on this one.

    Freaking Amazing!

    5/5

The 99 series are always a joy to play. They are pulse pounding and the stakes are high. I swear if you get to play this on top hier tier or base low teir it will not matter. You will have an amazing time and feel like you are in a science fiction movie. I loved it!

    Something for every character

    5/5

A well-rounded scenario. Played this at GenCon. Lots of missions to do, and some skill-based ones were heavy on lore and thankfully short on Player+GM time so that we could complete multiple missions in each section of this special. Enemies were interesting and the properties of some of the more psychological effects could potentially come up in future Starfinder games. The lore of the physical location itself was most interesting to me, and is not revealed until the absolute end of the game.

At this point I've played all the specials except for Fate of the Scoured God and The Last Bite. I'd rank this as my #2 favorite, behind Perils of the Past.

DCs so high, you'll think they're illegal

    2/5

Typical insane DCs for every single skill check. Reality warps itself to make everything difficult for every PC.

Is this going to be openly repeatable, or have restrictions (say once 1-4 and once 5-8)?

Seeing the cover, I'm seeing side effect of Starfinder grioth art being based on the "unusually muscular large sized named grioth boss from a module" :'D

I still find it funny that thin lean bat people suddenly became swole in starfinder

I asked this on OPO today, and Alex responded:

the product page says "Repeatable," not "Repeatable (limited)." It's fully repeatable.

Anybody going to fix page 55? Encounter H for 4 players?
