Had a blast playing and running it

Amazing product for a good price. Probably the best intro product of a TTRPG I have ever played. Recommended continuation: Troubles in Otari (no Foundry VTT support yet) and/or Abomination Vaults.

Great way to get started on Pathfinder and Foundry

5/5

I found this to be a fantastic way both to learn Pathfinder 2nd edition and how to run games on Foundry VTT. Each room in the adventure has the information in the journal entry that explains the game mechanic that is being introduced and then includes instructions for how to resolve the mechanic in Foundry. It really made learning Pathfinder and Foundry a lot easier, I highly recommend giving this a try.

There is no better way to learn Pathfinder

5/5

I have been running DnD 5e games x4 a week for 6 years, 3 of those years I have been dming professionally as a way to supplement my income. I have spent ££££ on maps, music, art and modules during these years to try and deliver as premium an experience as possible.

I am utterly humbled by how much higher quality this module is than anything else I have at my disposal. The quality of art, maps, ambient music and automation "out of the box" is nothing short of extraordinary.

I have moved to Pathfinder 2e from 5e about a month ago and have ran this module 3 times. I cannot recommend this purchase enough.

The way the adventure is written is also designed for your party to learn the system one step at a time. The first combat introduces basic actions, then second saving throws, the third concealment etc.

Very, very impressed.

Perfect Entry Point

5/5

Great entry point for PathFinder! It not only goes through and explains each piece of the game, but also has tons of information, player journals and emphasizes how to use it in Foundry as well.

Encounters are interesting as they have different styles (unavoidable, avoidable, traps, "recommend you be quiet" etc.)

Comes with a few pre-made characters, I made some extra and allowed my players to swap out classes in between battle so they could get an idea of how different things played.

Excellent

5/5

This is not only a tutorial on how to play PF2e it is a tutorial on how to play PF2e on foundry. Both GM's and Players can easily learn mechanics of the system at a digestable pace.

Ambient sounds add excellent flavor, and the macros and lighting effects built into the maps are top notch.

It plays in about 8-14 hours depending on the group in my playthroughs.

Recommended for anyone new to the system, or new to running or playing games on foundry vtt for PF2e.

Please make this discount available to those of us who own the Beginner's Box but did not purchase through Paizo. There must be a way to prove ownership other than your sales records.

thanks!

The discount is not tied to the physical box but to the PDF. The only way to get the PDF is through Paizo.

Thanks Cori

Yeah, it's a bit unfortunate, but it is what it is. The PDF and physical versions are different products, and the VTT module is produced in collaboration with a third party. The discount is thus tied to a specific product.

I wouldn't be surprised if a future edition of the Beginner Box's physical version came with a code or somesuch for a VTT version, but for now it is how it is.

Just a quick heads up that the new Pathfinder Humble Bundle includes the PDF version of the Pathfinder Beginner Box and several other PDF's and all of them can be unlocked on your Paizo account via the Humble bundle registration key.

I can verify that Beginner box you get from the HB deal is fully compatible with the $15 Foundry discounted rate for owning the PDF in your Paizo account.

You will also get upto 28 PDF's in total that you can add to your Paizo account.

The min donation needed to get the beginner's box and 6 other PDF's is $5
The min donation needed to get all 28 PDF's is $25

Due note that the Humble Bundle is only available from the 2nd to 22nd of February 2023.

I have bought the full HB (including the Beginner Box PDF). How do I get the discount? When I add this module to my cart, there is no possibility ot add some kind of discount?

You need to make sure you are purchasing the FVTT code only. This thread we are currently in is for the PDF + Code bundle. As you already own the PDF, you should be able to buy the FVTT code from below:

The naming of these products and how it is organised on the store is not intuitive, but it should work!

Purchased 25$ Humble Bundle and did not receive this product within ,along with many others. IS this normal? First humble Bundle i picked up and not off to a great start. Was wanting to get this for Foundry at the discount.

This product (The Beginner Box PDF + Foundry bundle) wasn't in the latest Humble Bundle.

The Humble Bundle contains the PDF only. Not the FVTT conversion.

But once you own the PDF, you can get a discount on the FVTT version here. https://paizo.com/products/btq02d6p

Beginner box pregen Merisiel has an error on her sheet in foundry. Should be trained in medicine.

easy enough to fix. My player wasn't able to use the treat wounds macro because it wasn't trained on the sheet.

I bought the Humble bundle, I downloaded the beginner box and adventure path, but for the love of God I have no idea how and where to start! I have no idea how to install or where. I followed the simple but not very beginner friendly instructions from foundry, pathfinder. YouTube videos.
Can someone help Please

Any plan to bring Troubles in Otari to Foundry? I have the beginner's box and Abomination Vaults and would love to be able to bridge the two with it.

You can do this by using PDF to Foundry and then getting Narchy's map remakes

Rusthenge is the next Foundry adventure, although we don’t have a date yet. We continue to convert the Adventure Paths too.

I'm just getting into PF and looking for where to start. Is this still a good starting place with the remaster?
