Kinda disappointed we have to wait till July for more modules, since the AP schedule dropped to bimonthly in order to accommodate them. Feels like a strict downgrade in the production of starfinder content volume.
Standalone adventures alone will not fill in the months in between the AP volumes and we are right-sizing the production of content based on staffing levels. That said, the One-Shots, standalone Adventures, Free RPG Day Adventure, and some unannounced products are all on the same line of the production schedule. There are 6 of them, so together they do in fact fill-in the AP gaps. There are also Starfinder Bounties this year. Erik Mona has revealed that we have Starfinder plans for years to come. I hope that viewpoint helps.

Considering that one shots are way smaller them modules, and Free RPG day adventures have been a thing since year one of starfinder, this doesn't in any way make it seem like there's not going to be less Starfinder content going forward. Like, if Paizo has bandwidth problems and has to cut back, and starfinder once again is getting the short end, that's whatever. Business happens, material reality is what it is. But it is happening, and pretending it isn't or trying to obfuscate that is really disappointing. I'd hope for more honest communication from Paizo on the subject.

Hey Elegos, I hope you can see I'm trying be transparent. As you probably know, Starfinder APs started as volumes every other month. Customers told us they wanted them every month, so we tried that, but the sales did not support it. Now we are innovating products to have customers show us what they really want to purchase. One-shots, bounties and standalone adventures are all "conversations" we are having with the marketplace. Also, Drift Crisis will be full of adventure seeds in a way that is new and exciting. Does that mean a smaller overall page count? I think so, at least temporarily. I think Starfinder is still the most prolific science-fantasy RPG alive today.
Is science-fantasy as popular as swords and sorcery? Not at this time. We certainly are not trying to give Starfinder the short end, we are trying to give people what they want. I'm confident that Starfinder has more resources as Pathfinder's sibling than it would alone. And we've clearly stated we have products planned for Starfinder for years to come. Thanks for being an ardent fan and always wanting more!

I agree, I thought we were getting stand-alone modules every other month. I understand why the cut off every other month for AP's. Not enough sales to support this model. But as a replacement Bounties don't cut for me as a fill in. A 1 hour module for level 1's as a replacement for an AP for a module.
If you want to increase sales on modules have them tie into the SFS structure and find a way they can be run in SFS mode. I know that would draw more interest in my circles. Campaign mode turns off players in my circles. They don't want to go through them in campaign format.

What about looking at Starfinder infinite to fill in the gaps in the production schedule.
Redshift Rally looks great to me, one thing I'm waiting to see is how easy it is a modify to run multiple times.

I dunno how common it is that people desperately want to play modules in SFS mode though, like my experience is more of opposite that people tend to be happy they are allowed to create characters without SFS restrictions

Since I am subscribed to the Starfinder APs and pre-ordered Redshift Rally... and my monthly Sub order was processed an hour and a half before the new Starfinder Adventures sub was announced, am I still getting the PDF for this free or should I try to contact customer support to cancel Redshift Rally or convert it to the Sub before it ships?

Anyone get this yet?
Yes, just today.
One thing that stuck out to me (it's a good read so far) is the cover is misleading, there are no car races in the adventure.
3 Starship races, 1 cross-planet race in a 4-person hoverpod, and a boat race
In addition the races all appear to utilize the starship chase rules from Starship Operations Manual to resolve them rather than the corebook rules on vehicle chase scenes.
So if you were hoping to use your experimental vehicle mechanic idea in this one (like I was) might need to adjust your expectations.

I keep thinking this needs a Ray Stevens soundtrack.
I'm stealing the F-Zero X "3...2....1...GOOOOOOOOOOOO" and the Mario Kart race start Lakitu traffic light beeps for sure. And probably some F-Zero X tracks.

Huzzah! My copy has shipped, and I finally get the answer to a question that's been bugging me for a while: If the Absalom Run takes place every 3 years, why does this adventure take place on the 20th anniversary?
The answer is that it actually takes place on the 30th anniversary!

Okay, having solved that mystery, I read through the history of the Absalom Run and am obliged to point out a pair of (very minor and non-spoilery) continuity errors:
If the first Absalom Run was held in 292 AG, and has been held every 3 years, making this the 30th anniversary, then the 322 AG race presented in the adventure is the eleventh Absalom Run, not the tenth. (1st: 292 AG, 2nd: 295 AG, 3rd: 298 AG, 4th: 301 AG, 5th: 304 AG, 6th: 307 AG, 7th: 310 AG, 8th: 313 AG, 9th: 316 AG, 10th: 319 AG, 11th: 322 AG.)
The fifth Absalom Run, which took place in 304 AG, was won by a bantrid pilot, about nine years before their species woke up from hibernation.

Finally got the chance to read through this properly.
Upsides: This is a sprawling adventure that GMs will want to take careful notes on as they go along. That being the case, Catalan does a great job of clearly drawing the massive supporting cast with a few crisp details each. Ties to Starfinder's ongoing continuity in the form of recurring characters are also appreciated. "Lyta is accompanied by her cameraman Rosco, a new addition to her team" is a wonderfully understated reference to a recent nigh-apocalypse.
All in all, this goes straight on my "I would really like to run this sometime" shelf.
Downsides: That one continuity hiccup I mentioned above is actually more notable than it first appeared; the bantrid pilot in question (Uta) is actually a significant NPC in the adventure itself. To fit the greater bantrid continuity, either Uta needs to not be a bantrid (simplest solution) or the GM should make Uta a former Terminator pilot, possibly swapping spots with one of the two most recent Terminator winners in 316 or 319 AG.
Also, the group portraits on pages 54 and 55 are wonderful to have, but several characters are off-model. Kitian Sparrs should have a hylki complexion, and the Tenworld Conglomerate worlanisis should be Small. The Sanjaval pilot Nenvi is an ikeshti, so she probably should be Small as well (rather than a vesk-sized bruiser), but we've seen examples before of ikeshti NPCs who almost went full rivener before receiving treatment to halt and stabilize the transformation, so we could just be looking at some subtly implied character backstory here.

I got a bone to pick on this one. I'm trying to prep this to run it and It is unessaerly difficult on the GM's. I have read and run a few thosuand adventures across mutlple games systems and this one is one of the most difficult to prep and it doesn't have to be. It has to do with the organzaion of the facts. Instead of making things easy to look up for the GM it's more important that it reads like a novel.
The clues in garage pg 7-8 are not highliged in a order that the GM can not find them easily when the party is sandboxing the clues. Order them by section in the garage not alpabetical order by what is found. (see any chaosisum product on how to group things by area).
Now I'm up to the competition section. That's cute how it's written on Pg 51-54. but WTF - how is a GM suposed to make heads or tails of this. I'm trying to go through and write down team names. And I can't figure out exactly who the 12 teams are. I go to page 19 and it lists teams. Some of those team names on page 19 don't even appear on pg 51-54. I spent a few hours trying to figure out who all the teams are. it would help for the GM's you cut out all the novel writting and give us a list so the GM's can figure out what is what easily.
This is a game adventure/accessory. Make it easy on the GM's to GM
I'm only a part way into prepping this I'm about ready to throw it the trash. It looks like a fun adventure but not worth all the prepping heacaches.
