Saves so much time

5/5

I highly recommend this product. It really allows for you to significantly cut down your prep time and focus on other things. A must have for any DM that uses Foundry VTT.

Fantastically made.

5/5

I've ran the beginner box three times on Foundry.
The first time I entered all the maps from the PDF myself as PDFtoFoundry hadn't supported them yet.
The second I used the ones created by PDFtoFoundry.

And last weekend I ran it with this module. And I must say, WOW, I'm super impressed.

I consider myself a Foundry enthusiast and I still was surprised at how some things were handled.
The newly designed maps with roof layers look amazing and add an entire new value to this product you can't really get on your own by importing the PDF.

The only critique I have is it seems like not all the sounds from the Syrinscape pack were included. I felt like I was missing some music for combat (which I added myself afterwards).

There was also some minor mistakes in some character's equipment. Such as the Skeletons wielding Scimitars, the Trapmaster only having a single Snare and many of the Kobolds not having the Eggshell necklace (and dried fish).

But these issues are minor and don't really detract from the 5/5 stars.

Fantastic product. 10/10.
They really succeeded at adding value for a product you may already own.

This is the way to VTT

5/5

I've been using Foundry for nearly 2 years. I've used the PDFtoFoundry importer a few times, but I settled on building my own tables to suit my preferences. Well, not anymore. This package is fantastic! The overhead tile art, the music and sound effects, the exceptional tokens. This isn't about convenience. The quality of this package is beautiful and beyond anything I can create. It provides an amazing experience for GM and players.

Raising the Bar on Quality

I rarely find a product that is of the level of quality that I desire. I rarely even meet my own standards when making content. Which is why I was pleasantly surprised that Foundry and Paizo went above and beyond with this product, almost reaching a level of beginner perfection.
There is still some work to be done integrating some of the many wonderful modules that the Foundry community has made, which makes this product even better. But I could not have asked for a better starting point than this.
A module that not only comes with the base features of Foundry already formatted (walls, lights, actors), it goes several steps further, digging into advanced features such as predesigned playlists of music and sound effects, custom art and formatting for the journal entries, and an abundance of advice sidebars for teaching a new GM how to use Foundry and lead a group of new players though a game of Pathfinder 2nd Edition on Foundry VTT.

Sets a new standard for Foundry adventure modules

5/5

I can't say enough good things about this module. As a GM, I've been running Adventure Path modules imported into Foundry for over a year now, but this is above and beyond anything else I have seen. The overhead tiles, the ambient music, the JOURNAL ENTRIES that make running the game so. incredibly. easy. This is a must-buy for anyone planning to GM the Beginner Box (and everyone else, I hope, so they keep making them! Don't wait on this.

Why does it show that this product is unavailable for purchase on my end? Is that normal?

Code alone is only purchasable if you own the PDF, otherwise you have to get the bundle.

The book and PDF are published by Paizo. The Foundry table is built by a different team and the code sold by Paizo with a discount for owning the PDF. So, if you buy the Humble bundle, you will support a good cause, own some cool products, and be entitled to the discount for owning the PDF (once it is in your Paizo account). Those who did the hard work of making an amazing Foundry experience will still be entitled to earn a little income from their endeavours.

Both here and the Abomination Vault page are showing unavailable when I'm trying to purchase them. Is this an issue on my end, or is something going on?

I would guess it's an issue on your end, since I had no problem putting this in my cart (not going to actually buy it, since I already did that once).

This product page is a discounted product for people who own the pdf already.

If you do not own the pdf then you need to buy the beginner box bundle.

The same is true for abomination Vaults (you need to buy the bundle if you don't own the compilation pdf).

If you own the pdf and it still shows as unavailable then try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and if the issue persists then send support an email for assistance.

Warden Human is a special heritage in the Beginner Box that is a bit weird in that it does not follow the normal guidelines for heritages. I'll double check and if we don't have it in the system currently I'll get it in for the next system update (~a few hours from this post unless we find some horrendous bug).

I own the beginners box for PF2e PDF, but it still says that the €15 product for Foundry VTT is unavailable.

I bought the beginners box PDF through humble bundle, does that cause any issues?

Unavailable?? Arg!!

Same here. I can't go to checkout if I have this Code only version in my shopping cart. If I only have the bundle in my shopping cart, I can go to checkout.

I do own the Beginners Box PDF from a humble bundle. It is available in my account.

It seems like with all the issues posted here specifically regarding the purchase of the FoundryVTT Code after purchasing the Humble Bundle that straightforward directions would be posted here by now.

Yes, I own the pdf and it's available in my digital content.
Yes, I've cleared browser cache / cookies.
Yes, I've emailed sales and customer service and gotten no response.

Add me to the list of those with the Starter Box PDF and the Foundry VTT module showing unavailable in the Paizo store.

What's the next move?

Email customer service. They're probably a bit underwater right now because the sheer amount of new folks getting into the game recently and the age of the website, but that truly is the only way to reach them at this point.

What's the next move?

I reached out to FoundryVTT when I hadn't heard back.

Got prompt support from their end.
They suggested I log out and try in a different browser.
So I did and it still showed as unavailable.

I decided to be helpful to the helpful and document what I was seeing step by step in my email response to foundryvtt.

Long story short, in this new browser, as I was documenting how it doesn't work, I proceeded all the way to checkout with the still Unavailable $15 dollar code, and this time it actually let me buy it, whereas the billing system kicked me out at the last minute the first time I tried that.

So just try again in a different browser even though it says unavailable.
I got the code instantly and entered in foundry and it's there.

Hopefully this helps others in this humble predicament.

I think we can all agree that this website is horrible. For the love of God please replace this with Shopify or some system that works! In the remote hope this will help in some way, I've tried 2 different computers with both Safari and Firefox. Same Results...

If I read it very very slowly like I can see that in the PDF section it shows that it's "In your digital assets". Which it is since I purchased this several days ago and downloaded it.

Is it really or just a bug? It's in my shopping cart.

Shopping Cart:

Unavailable ( Am I beating a dead horse here? A friend purchased this last week, It's digital content and not paper. If it's been discontinued then take it off the website eh?)
Checkout: 1..2..3.. Really?
1. Ok it's in there but also flagged Unavailable.
2. Payment method, OK remembered my card.
3. Looks OK. I click purchase. It asks for the code on my CC. OK.
Wow, it worked this time. I'm guessing the delay in my working thru the cart is what allowed it to work? So if you go slow, give each page 2 minutes, you can purchase Unavailable content.

Well played. You must wait a minute or two before advancing to the next step when purchasing. Slow and steady wins the race here. It worked and I now have the module.

Ugh, wish I didnt buy the PDF with the Humble Bundle. Would have liked to have bought this too. Oh well.

You should be able to add this Code product to your cart if you have the PDF from the bundle. If not, email CS.

I still can't buy this VTT CODE, even though I've owned this Physical and PDF since February 2023. It just shows as unavailable, and I'm using the Chrome browser.

When using Brave browser it just tells me I need to buy the PDF to make this purchase.

I noticed what might be some issues with the module in my session the other day. The xulgaths in the second level seemed to be missing their languages in the statblock, and their stench ability is worded completely differently than on Archives of Nethys. In fact, it had no mention of the sickened condition, though sounded similar, and was worded in a way that made it seem players could just use an action to retch, and recover, without a necessary Fort save.

seansps wrote:

The Beginner Box does not use languages.

Yes, the Beginner Box uses simplified rules. Those changes are also in the print and PDF Beginner Box versions. It's a deliberate change for the sake of streamlining learning to play Pathfinder.

Oh ok thanks for the explanation! Well, that’s weird. The BBox might do that, but it’s not how I run RPGs lol.

Especially when I have players using things like Bon Mot! But it’s all good, I figured it out with AoN.

## Pathfinder Beginner Box - Release v4.0.0 ##

==============================================

This release updates the module to include the updates Paizo have made to the PDF as part of their Remaster efforts.

In addition to sweeping changes to the text, this also means that the module includes several new tokens, as it adds artwork for the new creatures that were added to the Remastered Beginner Box. Don't worry- any creatures that were *removed* in the Remaster, like the Owlbear or the Drow Priestess, still have their artwork in the module, and it's still automatically mapped to the appropriate creatures in the system compendiums. This is because artwork by itself was never protected by the OGL to begin with.

Bottom line- this update includes a bunch of extra art with no downsides!

That's not the only good news- since we were creating new tokens anyway, we also took the opportunity to go back and redo every single token in the module to match the art style and token ring used in our Token Pack: Bestiaries module. That means that tokens from both modules can now be used side by side without a difference in art style.

A final fun fact- because our Token Pack-style assets are more efficient and optimised, the module's actually *smaller* now, having gone from 293MB to 206MB with this update, despite us only adding more stuff to it :)

Changelog in spoiler to make it more compact:
Quote:

Changelog

@ Updated the journals and adventure text to reflect updates made by Paizo to the PDF. These predominantly accomodate Remaster rules and lore changes to the Beginner Box content, as well as some minor errata and other improvements.
- The Credits journal has been moved into the Menace Under Otari adventure in the compendium instead of being a standalone import
- Some individuals have been added to the credits, notably the Paizo editors that worked on the Remaster and our very own SpartanCPA who made the Token Pack tokens included in this update.
- The OGL license has been removed from the Credits journal, as the module now uses the ORC license.
# Made some minor CSS improvements to the journals, including changing the pointer icon so that it renders for Mac users
@ Added four new items to the module for the "class kits" which offer quick prebuilt equipment selections for each class, for PCs built using the Hero's Handbook rules.
@ Updated two weapons which previously didn't have potency runes applied.
# All tokens have been refreshed to match the later standards developed for the Token Pack: Bestiaries module. In addition to matching the art style, the improved asset optimisation means that the module is actually now substantially smaller in size despite containing more content.
- Added ~8 new tokens by Nath for various creatures added in the Remaster
- Added ~10 new alternate tokens for creatures who received new artwork in the Remaster (the original artwork is still included in the files)
- Added many more new tokens by Nath for the various "heroes" that are provided for player characters
# Module files now contain a text copy of the changelog (this includes the patchnotes for previous releases as well)

# : Does not require reimport
@ : Requires reimport
